    Very easily accessible from the train station. The staff in the breakfast room were exceptionally friendly and always ready to bring you anything. The housekeeping staff also was friendly and the room was always ready when we returned.

    Great location, 3-5 minutes walk from Train Station. Air conditioned room, Neat and clean fully secured room. Honest, smiling and very helpful staff, Breakfast start at 06.30 AM that gives plenty of time to start exploring early. I am recommending this location to try and enjoy benefits.

    We stayed during the heat wave and were so thankful for a room with AC. On the last night they sent us a message they may have to turn off AC to do maintenance and we were very concerned. The manager was very attentive to our worries though and found a solution fast. The pool being indoors was a little disappointing because it was so hot during our stay, other than that we were very happy with the property. The distance to chapel bridge makes it a perfect location to walk around at night and it was very easy to get to the station daily for our day trips. Very good location

    Arrived at Hotel Astoria at 2:30pm, eager to drop our bags and start exploring Lucerne. Told check-in was strictly 3pm — fair enough, we could wait. But 3pm came and went, and our room still wasn’t ready. Waiting in a hotel lobby with luggage while the clock ticks past your promised check-in time is not the welcome you hope for after a long journey. The rooms themselves were a letdown too — noticeably smaller than the photos online led us to believe, more “cozy closet” than the spacious retreat pictured. Between the delayed check-in and the underwhelming room size, this stay didn’t live up to expectations. Wouldn’t book here again.
