Stayed 1 night with my teenage boys. Perfectly positioned. Clean room with comfortable beds. Held our luggage for the day so we could look around. Good value for money. Friendly staff.

The nicest hotel staff

The rooms were very large. The location was perfect for walking to most the shops and restaurants. The staff was top notch. Literally everyone from the cleaning staff, to the breakfast servers, to the front desk were incredibly nice. We had my dog with us and they were all so kind to her as well. The rooms were very clean. The view in our room of the streets of old town were so nice. Mini bar was fully stocked.

The shower was a little small. And there is no conditioner provided so being your own.

Great location

So noisy outside starting at 5-6am. Ask for room not facing the street where construction begins at 6am and we heard workers rolling carts on cobblestone even before that.

Charming location with a cozy room and good breakfast

The hotel has a lovely location right in the old town, on a beautiful square that feels almost like a fairytale, and it’s only about 10 minutes’ walk to the railway station. The room wasn’t very spacious, and the wallpaper and curtains felt a little dated, but overall still perfectly fine for a comfortable stay.

The breakfast was good and tasty, though the variety could have been a bit wider.

The TV did not show any channels, it’s a smart TV but I wasn’t able to watch any streaming services like Netflix, the wi-fi only worked in one corner of the room, the telephone in the room did not work and I was unable to get the coffee machine to work even though I filled the water tank.

Fab location

Centrally located hotel, we got a room upgrade and our request accommodated. Great breakfast. Friendly staff made us feel really welcome. Luzern was amazing, thoroughly recommended. Price was excellent for Switzerland.

Single beds were a bit narrow, but I saw this all over Switzerland. The left luggage space was open, we had concerns about leaving luggage there in case members of the public could walk in.

I had an excellent stay at this very professional and convenient hotel in the heart of Lucerne.

The location was excellent and was right in the heart of Lucerne. It was close to most of the activities nearby and also to the Lucerne train station. The staff was helpful and very friendly, including the kitchen staff. I would recommend guests utilize the breakfast; it was very nice.

Although there was a small fan in the room, having a pedestal fan would help with hot summer days, as it can get quite hot in the rooms. It would also be nice if the mini fridge items were free to the guests.

We had an amazing stay at Altstadt Hotel Krone Luzern and would stay again.

The location is amazing, in a little square in Old Town, with anything you could need close by. The room itself was very comfortable and clean and had plenty of room for our family of four. We happened to be in town during a city festival and we were right in the middle of the action. Because of the city festival, we were unable to leave the windows open all night without it being noisy, but the trade off was worth it. We listened to the crowd singing down the street and found it charming. It was lovely.

The room was a little warm, but it was super hot during the day so that was expected. The fan provided did good work to help that issue as well.

Excellent location, clean, spacious room, would definitely stay again

We had a family room for our family of four. The room had 4 twin beds but one bed was in an alcove creating a separate room. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We were on the fourth floor and there is no air conditioning but the hotel provides fans and with the window open it was comfortable in the summer heat. The hotel is in an excellent location, in old town just a short block from the river. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location but sadly noisy overnight with diners and party-goers

Convenient valet parking service available and a lovely location, right in the old part of the city.

Sadly, the central location meant it was very noisy overnight. Good quality soundproofing thanks to the double glazing helped, but it was very warm in the room with them all shut. The hotel had suppled a good quality low-noise fan which helped a little.

Outside of the building has a beautiful facade and is well taken care for. But… so disappointing the moment you step into this hotel. Inside the communal area’s it looks old and tired. Same for lift, hallway. Old, stained and tired. Room was a single with a window. (Numer 43? 4th floor) Very, very small for 200 francs a night without airco or breakfast. Coffee machine & 4 capsules were provided and appreciated. A small table fan was also provided.

Excellent for a brief stay to explore Luzern and the area - too expensive for longer stays.

The hotel is centrally located in the Old Town of Luzern, making it a perfect starting point to explore the Old Town, the Marina, and the surroundings on the other side of the river Reuss. There are many restaurants and cafés available in the area.

The room was a four-bed room - two two-bed bedrooms would have been better. The room itself was rather small and without air conditioning. Breakfast was standard, nothing special. Prices in Switzerland are about double comparable prices in Germany. Beach areas on Züricher See or Zuger See are more accessible and better developed than on the Vierwaldstätter See around Luzern.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and the room cleaned daily. Nice large shower. Great location in Old Town, and within walking distance to train station or tram stop. Restaurants of various cuisines close by. Very safe area.

Breakfast was not included for us but there is a Coop close by with many take away items.

Room was not serviced. Toilet was not cleaned. No drinking water in the room. Bath towels were smelling bad. Baggage storage area is outside the rooms in an open area. Anyone can grab others bags. Too expensive breakfast. Asked $26 per person. Too small elevator where only one person with a bag can fit.

Great location. Close to the station, chappel bridge and restaurants. The neighbourhood is great. The staff was helpful.

Since the hotel is in a central location, it could be a bit noisy untill late night. We statyed in the hotel on a saturday night and they when Switzerland team own against Italy in Euro 2024. That could be the reason, as well.

Beautiful old apartment overlooking one of the most beautiful square in Lucern. We got the top private room and it had a big balcony overlooking the Musegg Wall and towers. Comfortable stay and good location.

Bathroom was dated, might need to do an upgrade.
