Lucerne hotel

Staff was very friendly, helped us with directions etc. And provided a washer and dryer to do our laundry, with soap for no cost.

It's a bit out of the centet of Lucerne, which fir us was perfect, because our intention was to do day trips in rwntal car, out of Lucerne towards, Bern, Alps etc.

Except the road noise from passing cars everything is perfect.

It’s a economic price and this is the reason I booked it. The picture looks clean.

Modern hotel with a lot of noise from the road

Wide room with a lot of space for people and luggage. Everything is comfortable and organised. Beds are really nice and blinds are electric. It even has mosquito nets on the windows! Free parking on the premises, and free transport card to Luzern, which makes it so convenient.

In my opinion, breakfast could be a little more varied. However, there were two things I did not like at all. The first one was the fact that it lacked AC, which is of course said in the description and unfortunately it is something very common in the country. We were having a heatwave and this really made it hard to sleep. It is true that we were `provided with a good ventilator inside the room, which we appreciated so much. But even like that, sleeping was complicated. It was even more complicated because of the traffic noise. The hotel is located just by the main road that connects to Luzern, and it has constant traffic from 5.30 am to midnight, so the truth is that you only get to sleep 5 hours and a half. I used my earplugs but this did not prevent me from suffering the noise. For me, this was really an inconvenience.

Fine hotel and clean, perfect for the night. Breakfast was good! Location perfect, free parking and the (free) train to the city is just a short walk. Staff was good and helpful!

The hotel is located next to a road for thru traffic so you can express some road noice during the night. Our beds were pretty worn out.

Very good stay at Luzern!

Room size, amenities, wifi, free private parking and buffet breakfast included. City transport voucher provided which is great due to the location of the hotel on the outskirts of Luzern.

Room gets hot during the day and opening the balcony door the room gets plenty of mosquitoes because the net window was broken. The bed is very soft.

The restaurant for dinner was exceptional

Breakfast was disappointing considering how good dinner was. We expected the option for hot food, even to pay extra for it, but no option. A very basic buffet instead. Also note NO air conditioning in the rooms and A LOT of road noise from trucks throughout the night. We put the fan on in the room which blocked the noise a little. Take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Also the shower kept going hot and cold every time we used it.

Overprice in the middle of nowhere

The staff was friendly and professional, parking is very handy. They offer free transportation to town train and bus.

The price Is crazy for what they offer... Suite and breakfast at 283euro a night. Brekfast is tiny with almost no choice, you have to pay 8euro for scrambled eggs not included as much other stuffs not included, coffe taste is horrible. The suite is not confortable... The toilet is inside the room without doors so I let you imagine the smell and missing privacy. In the morning The animal Of the farm in front will Wake you up. The tv has Only German channels! Not even one English or French or italian. Some tiles of the bathroom where broken and worst point... To turn off lights of all room and also of the open toilet you have to walk at the entrance of the room.

The hotel provides Luzern-Visitor card for the period of your stay. You can take the train (7 mins walk from the hotel) to the central station of Luzern for free. You could also use it to get some discount when taking the cable car up to the Rigi mountain.

The showergel/shampoo is empty, that should have been checked in advance to avoid inconvenience for the guests.

Everything. The staff was really attentive and helpful. I received a free transport ticket and some discounts to the museums for the day I stayed. Everything was clean and cozy, the breakfast was good.

The staff were so friendly and helpful! They gave us suggestions and directions and filled every request. They immediately provided us with a fan for our room and had no problem giving us a glass with ice each evening.

There was no air-conditioning and it would have been great to have an extra pillow, mini fridge and in room coffee.
