A-frame箱根強羅

Super nette Unterkunft in der Nähe von Gora Station. Wundervoll für 1 Nacht, der kleine private Onsen mit projection mapping ist ein absolutes Highlight. Zur Info: Das Cable Car fährt nur bis 17 Uhr, Essens- & Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind dann stark begrenzt. Wir waren nicht mit dem Auto unterwegs sondern sind dann zum Abendessen nach Gora gelaufen. Da der Rückweg steil bergauf geht ist das aber nichts für Buchende mit eingeschränkter Mobilität oder Knieproblemen. Der Gastgeber hat darauf vorab hinhewiesen, wir wussten also, worauf wir uns einlassen :)

We were looking for a more private lodging experience to get away from the city and standard hotel accommodations and this did not disappoint! It was very spacious for the 3 of us and was very clean and updated nicely. As mentioned by the Hosts, it is located up in the hills above the little town of Hakone (about a 15 minute car ride) which made it quiet and less bustling, which we loved. We could walk to get coffee, basic necessities and there are some great little eating spots in the near vicinity. Things close down up in that area earlier in the evenings than down in Hakone, so plan accordingly. We did not have any problem getting taxis/Uber to and from the A-Frame and just used the Gen hotel address which is right across the street to avoid any confusion. All in all, it was the perfect little spot for us to unwind and relax from all our travels.

Would have been nice to have a coffee maker so we could make our own since many places didn’t seem to be open until later in the morning.

Property itself is stunning, a huge space in a really beautiful location

Nothing! A nice little extra would’ve been some bath salts supplied for the bath, because we didn’t have any!
