Setsugetsuka

We appreciated the authentic experience of a traditional Japanese inn. The room was large and the food was good. Also, the location was very convenient. The public onsen is really nice with a natural ambiance. The beds were very comfortable.

Our overall experience was good however, the facility is dated. We liked it being an older inn, but some features like tubs, walls, etc are worn and not well maintained. We got very unlucky our first night at dinner. We walked through the restaurant with many tables, beautiful windows and lighting to end up at the worst table that was in a far corner, behind a wall with no window. I think they should avoid sitting any guests at that table because it will affect how they experience dinner.

The location was very close from the nearest station, slightly uphill but not much. The dinner and breakfast was fantastic and completely worth it. The hotsprings were also incredibly relaxing and anything you could have needed was included.

Great staff and a stunning onsen - really very authentic and welcoming. The set meals were definitely an experience; dinners were tasty and fascinating (esp the sushi version), but we found the breakfasts challenging.

OMG - this place is beyond a good clean, although it seriously needs one, it’s in need of a complete refurbishment. You cannot charge these prices and offer such tired facilities.

It is very close to the gora station which means you are well placed for any activity you might like to pursue.

The room was a bit worn down even though the hotel is from 2006. It’s half board but there is no coffee for breakfast, you have to get it yourself in a little room that serves as a cafeteria.
