Service was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and a delight to speak with. The food was fantastic and very traditional and the onsen was comfortable and clean and quiet. The overall experience was very relaxing and wonderful.

This is a truely beautiful bath house in a picture perfect mountain setting. The gardens alone are worth it! We spent only one night as a family of 4 (kids aged 5 & 8). The room is so spacious and very traditional. Nothing western about this place which made it so special. They provided traditional bath robes (Yukata) for everyone with special kids sizes to wear while staying there. Yes it’s older and that is obvious but we loved that it wasn’t a modern shiny hotel and we got to experience a traditional Japanese bathhouse as the locals would. Staff were so friendly and lovely and we wish we stayed longer!

Lovely location surrounded by the garden. Outdoor hot spring on site. Truly felt we landed in a different era.

It needs some serious updating. We stayed in the villa, very spacious for our family, but likely not used often. The smell of mildew was overpowering and off putting. It got better after the 1st day so it needed to be aired before our stay.
