We stayed in a Japanese style room with open-air bath – nothing beats soaking with the view. Hotel breakfast was truly amazing and had great variety. You can book normal onsen and hot stone onsen for free. The hotel provides Japanese style clothing (yukata) to wear inside. Very comfortable futon beds. Conveniently located right next to the Gora station. If you miss dinner there are nice izakayas and a kombini nearby.
Futon beds is literally the only new thing in the room. TV was ancient, kettle was leaking. The were no sockets available in the room to charge devices. Bathroom was decrepit with broken sockets, yellowish toilet seat and a rather tired shower. One unpleasant thing that stood out especially was the refusal of the hotel staff to help us ordering a taxi on the departure day – thankfully international taxi hailing apps work in Japan.
