Welcoming and hospitable, a comfortable home from home. Beautifully restored building, full of character. We slept well in a bright and comfortable bedroom. The breakfasts were delicious. We had a wonderful stay.

Simply lovely

Located at the entrance of the great Begijnhof, waking up at the Guesthouse Begijnhof is like waking up in a different century. The Guesthouse is located in a quite street, which makes for a good nights rest. When making your way downstairs in the morning, you´re by the owner personally, who has gone out of his way to provide his guests with a fresh and varied breakfast, including local and homemade products, that could delight even the fussiest eaters among us. If breakfast is not your thing, simply enjoy a cup of coffee in the garden in the morning sun. The most refreshing thing about our stay, was the personal touch and involvement of the owner and operator. He goes out of his way to ensure you have a pleasant stay and he takes a personal interest in his guests. We have greatly enjoyed out stay and would recommend this accommodation to anyone whose looking for a care free and authentic stay in Leuven.

Best place to stay when you are in Leuven with old house atmosphere and modern facilities.

Perfect location and amazing host, very helpful and looking to meet all expectations. Clean room and all you need from the guesthouse. Also the sorrounding is amazing and worth to spend extra time for walk.

It was not a problem for me but at the time of checkout I had to pay cash, due to the fact that terminal was out of order. But for me that was not an issue at all.

Lots of attention to detail

I can highly recommend the Begijnhof Guesthouse: The owner is very friendly and pays a lot of attention to detail: the very old house is beautifully renovated, my room was spacious and very comfortable and the breakfast exceptional.

Beautiful house, wonderful host

Beautiful old townhouse directly across the road from the Groot Begijnhof, easy walking distance to the centre of Leuven. Simply but tastefully furnished. Michel is a wonderful host, very helpful and accommodating, and the breakfast each morning was a treat. There is free parking available in a private car park behind the Begijnhof, really useful if you're travelling to Leuven by car.

Stairs to 2nd floor rooms are steep, it didn't affect us but could be a challenge for anyone with mobility problems

The B&B Guesthouse Begijnhof is beautiful and exquisite. The host was exceptional and went out of his way for us to make sure we have a great stay. The location is great being across the road from the Begijnhof in Leuven. We will definitely stay there again.

Superb

Great service and friendly atmosphere, lovely breakfast with delicious home made jam. Lovely music at breakfast. Michael was very helpful and friendly. I loved the location too, very quiet and historic.

The room was not spectacular, and felt a bit Empty, but it was comfortable nevertheless and the shower was great. Nice view over the garden.

Struttura incantevole, con un proprietario davvero attento ai bisogni dei propri clienti

Il proprietario, Michael, è una persona veramente squisita, ospitale e cordiale. La colazione preparata era di altissimo livello, sia nella forma e presentazione, che nella sostanza. Gli ingredienti usati sono di primissima scelta, uova delle galline dell’orto del proprietario, torte, marmellate e altri dessert tutti fatti in casa dalla moglie del proprietario. Il proprietario fin dal primo momento è stato molto attento a tutto, mi ha fornito delle bottiglie d’acqua aggiuntive in camera, senza chiedere alcun sovrapprezzo. Ogni mattina è stata una vera sorpresa, la colazione è stata sempre una piacevole scoperta. Frutta già tagliata e porzionata, sempre diversa (kiwi, mango, mela). Davvero meravigliosa. Soggiorno estremamente confortevole, camere molto silenziose, pulite e curate nei minimi dettagli. Consigliatissimo!

Een weekendje weg in een gastvrij hotel, met een onvergetelijk ontbijt en een ideale ligging.

De hartelijke ontvangst door gastheer Michel, die altijd klaarstond voor een praatje, tips en het beantwoorden van vragen, maakte ons verblijf extra aangenaam. Het ontbijt was werkelijk fantastisch, met een overvloed aan verse, lokale producten en zelfgemaakte lekkernijen. Ook de kwaliteit en properheid van de accommodatie waren top, met een heerlijk bed en een ruime, comfortabele kamer. Daarbij was de ligging perfect, op wandelafstand van het centrum en de Grote Markt. De tip van Michel, waar we in het weekend gratis konden parkeren, was ook zeer nuttig.

Eerlijk gezegd kunnen we niets negatiefs bedenken. Ons verblijf was perfect van begin tot eind.

Wunderbarer Wochendtrip

Hervorragende Lage genau gegenüber dem Großen Begijnhof, aber dennoch ruhig. Fast die gesamte Innenstadt von Leuven ist nur für den Anwohnerverkehr freigegeben. Wir haben das Auto in etwa 15 Gehminuten auf dem unteren Abschnitt der Kardinaal Mercierlaan abgestellt, wo es kostenlos ist. Der Gastgeber ist super freundlich, interessiert und sehr bemüht. Es gab jeden Tag ein opulentes Frühstück mit frischen, teils selbstgemachten Zutaten. Wir haben das Wochenende sehr genossen.

Wir haben nichts zu bemängeln, aber Gäste mit physischen Einschränkungen sollen wissen, dass die alte Holztreppe recht steil ist.
