Cold in winter

Very nice staff, and excellent restaurant with good food.

The room was extremely cold when I arrived, and once I asked if that is the best they can do (since the reception area and restaurant were nicely heated), I got a portable heater. The room was really large though, so even with the heater is was a bit chilly during the night. The room was also very dark, so since I had to work, I moved to the restaurant for several hours. It's a pity on both accounts as the room was large and nice, but I could not use it.

We both liked the hotel and location and would definitely consider staying again.

Very polite helpful staff. Secure underground parking at a reasonable cost. We stayed in the new section which seemed fairly new and built to a good standard. There was no kettle in the room when we arrived but they immediately supplied one when we asked 👍breakfast was good! Bus stop to city centre right outside hotel with lots of regular buses.

There was nothing serious that we didn’t like but !! We did feel that it was minimalist design before function. There was nowhere for suitcases so they ended up on the floor! Virtually no storage. A small rail with some coat hangers over a small unit with a couple of shelves. The soap dispenser in the shower was at the opposite end to the shower head! Why ? There was an electric heater in the bathroom which was nice to have but it was placed right next to the toilet so you had to turn it off to use the toilet ( there was enough room and a long enough lead to mount it further away!!)

Overpriced for cheap accommodations

The only good thing is the location.

The accommodations and management were so cheap. Only one lamp on the night stand and the chord was bare showing the wire inside. The linens were not only uncomfortable but they only fit the top of a single bed, If you were a bigger person you wouldn't be covered. I went to the bar and asked for water and they resisted. The sparkling water was $7. I just can't believe how shabby the furniture was for the price. The antique wardrobe was nice but other than that it could've belonged I'm a secondhand store. NOT worth the price. I wish I took pictures to warn others.

Beautiful historical building with modern and clean rooms

Beautiful historical building with modern and clean rooms. Nice restaurant on site. We had a large family room that accommodated comfortably our family of 4. Good buffet breakfast. Brilliant location in a quiet area very close to Arenberg Castle, it's park and it's university campus. Free parking available on the street nearby and private paid parking in the hotel garage also avaliable.

Just a few small things. All the pillows were thick and firm, not quite our preference. The family room we had was located on the first floor and, because the building is very old, it doesn't have any elevator. Furthermore the stairs are a bit narrow.

Historic lodge very close to a majestic castle

Needed a last minute room after a booking mistake in another hotel (my fault). Stayed here before and it's a good 3 star in a green neighborhood near Arenberg castle. Historic building also.

Not much to dislike. My room was quiet but I don't think the sound isolation is same as in modern hotels. Breakfast is basic but fine. There is not much parking right outside the property and the underground was full but free parking on the streets nearby.

Rich variable breakfest, the location is right next to university so walking distance to campus.

Part of the hotel located right next to railway track so every passing train causes little earthquake. Something you do not expect at this price category.

wonderful two nights stay

we have a wonderful time at the Lodge. Great room, fantastic location for running, visiting football or city centre. Very attentive staff in the restaurant who make a lovely surprise for our daughter's birthday celebration. will be happy to return soon.

Room was extra large, and it could warm up quite easily. Breakfast was superb in so lovely decorated space. The hotel was 30 minutes walk from the centre, but it was in very quite and nice area, with less than 10 min walk to KU Leuven. Would recommend it and come again on the next visit to Leuven!

Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the conviene of the location to the University Campus

Floors were extremely cold in our room and not very clean. It was odd getting to our room at night because of the terrace rooms locations - very dark and hard to see. Overall it was okay but was not worth the money we paid, just good because we needed a place to stay for taking an exam at the University located across the street.

Booked a kingsize bed but got two singles with splitting mattresses, that’s a No … Bathroom: Water damage with paint peeled off the wall; everything slid off the bathroom shelf above the sink as it was so crooked; and no washcloth; And unfortunately the room wasn’t even aired … disappointing really

Rooms are cold, toilet smelled like fried food from the ventilation and outside of the upper rooms in the main building there is a odor of sewage.
