Nice location and nice rooms but not worthy a 4 star hotel. The upkeep falls short for that. (Wall’s carpet bathroom ven
Room
Bathroom: advertised as room with jacuzzi but it was broken No shower . Bath in front of window is very impractical . No curtains so everything turns wet . Impossible bathroom not worthy a 4 star hotel . Then noise from the ventilation is too loud. No possibility to turn it down. Temperature up or down did hardly make any difference. Not worthy to a 4 star hotel To get to the hotel is very hard- we had to break some rules to get there in the end.

A solid place to stay
I liked the general vibe of the old building, it really was a nice place to spend time and I would have loved a longer stay. The room was nice and spaceous, with a little corridor leading to the wardrobe, which I thought was neat. The man who helped me check in was very helpful.
The route to the hotel was difficult, mainly due to roadworks. The art applied at the breakfast location and in the garden felt very disconnected from the vibe of our room. More medival would probably have been a better match, though I know that tastes are subjective. We had received an (email) offer to upgrade our room to one with a bubblebath, but this was not communicated properly somehow, so we stayed in a nice non-bubblebath room instead.

Not recommended for long stays.
Conveniently located close to the city centre.
Visitors are expected to pay a an outrageous security deposit of 976€ upon arrival with no prior notification or explanation. Totally unacceptable for a hotel room overused by previous tenants throughout the years. Although we used to wake up early in the morning we didn’t always have enough hot water in the shower. We were also surprised to see that room isolation was rather poor and we could feel a cold breeze coming through the windows during the morning hours when the shades and curtains were open.

Stylish and comfortable
We stayed in the new building. The room was fresh and clean, we especially liked the comfortable bed and big shower
The airconditioning in the room was quite loud and we were unable to turn it off (even though it’s winter and we like to sleep with open windows, and therefore don’t need airco)

What a beautiful hotel in a stunning setting
This is a beautiful hotel, so nicely restored and best location - minutes from the most buzzy streets in Leuven. We were so impressed by it. The room was big and bed so comfy, with fab rainforest shower and tea/coffee. Loved the lighting in the room it was cosy. Enjoyed the whole look and decor of the place
Breakfast too pricey so we didn't go for it. Shame as it is the best opportunity to have the view of the Klooster.

Good hotel but requires serious upgrading or upskilling of their receptions staff
The hotel was very helpful when I had to modify my booking dates (for an un expected family emergency) and we very much appreciated that flexibility! The hotel reception staff on the contrary was extremely unprofessional to guide us how to reach the hotel (and it’s different parkings) and were even laughing with us behind the back. That was quite an unpleasant experience, especially when arriving after a 6 hrs drive….
The reception staff was extremely unprofessional and after mentioning the issue to them, they could at least offer a welcome drink or a reduction on the parking price or so - but nothing to be expected….
