A good base if you are not too pretentious

Location is perfect. The style is very typical, and I like it very much. Rooms at first and second floors have huge windows, that are amazing. Only stairs are available to upper floors (perfectly fine for me, but useful to be know, I guess). Staff very helpful when I needed. Clean. Good breakfast.

Quite old furniture and moquette, that left some unpleasant smell in the room. Holes and sign of use in walls and furniture, that should be taken care of. In my room there were two beds, one had a really bad mattress (luckly I was alone and I could use the other one).

Convenient. Good facilities for price. Shower was good. Water on arrival a nice touch. Breakfast plentiful and fresh.

The stairs were very dark. It was tricky as it was difficult to see where the steps on the stairs were. Our room had no hair dryer.

it was just by the train station, entrance through a restaurant, with supermarket nearby and 15min walk to city centre. the room was cozy and quiet enough and breakfast was various. booked the single room, there was a shower and a small desk behind. small spaced but well-equipped. the staff was helpful and friendly.

personally speaking, in winter the room wasn't that heated up.

Great getaway in central leuven. top location.

I had the fortune to get the appartment to stay in, this made the stay very comfortable. i could also use the very good breakfast buffet. Location cannot be better in Leuven, very central and easy parking at the bunt.

Very disappointing, consider other option

Stuff was great and breakfast is good

It’s not the first time when I’m booking a room in this hotel. And I would say it’s becoming worser and worser each time. I understand that it’s a 1-star hotel, but there a lot of questions to a cleanliness of the rooms. Last time there were a ton of smelly stains on the carpet which added a “good” atmosphere to the whole room. In general all facilities are in super bad condition: electrical outlets are partially broken, shower is almost unusable, etc. When everything is broken and dirty it should not be acceptable even in a 1-star hotel, imho. I’ll definitely will switch to another hotel for my work trips.

Not bad for short stay considering the price

Location is ideal, right in front of the station. Downstairs is the bar, we enjoyed the vibe with great Belgium beer. The staffs are nice and breakfast is good.

It’s in an old building without lift, going up and down is tiring. The room is not well equipped and cleaned.

Bed bugs in room 9

The location is great if you need stay close to the train and main bus station. The breakfast was fine and the restaurant offers good food.

I stayed in room number 9 which had plenty of bed bugs. Unfortunately I only noticed them when I went to bed and at that time the hotel reception was closed. After moving the bed aside, I noticed a lot of dirt and that the carpet was not cleaned for a while. There were also bed bug remains between the furniture. I would have changed the room if I would have known about it.

It would have been better

It looks pretty and promising however They moved us to another hotel due to some maintenance issues. The hotel opposite has the same looks outside but it’s like sleeping in an orphanage with bad sound isolation, terrible atmosphere for the room and you wake up from all the door slamming of the the guest passing through.

It did not match to the value, the owner gave me back 20 euros and said that he will contact the other hotel for the balance. I mailed twice afterward but no reply.

Unexpectedly good experience - good option for working in Brussels and enjoying Leuven

After 80 years, this hotel is still running strong. The age makes some corners look a bit run-down, but the friendly staff, great location and good restaurant make up for it. The breakfast was fantastic. A large buffet with fresh fruit, bread, cereal - great variety. Comfortable setting in a large dining room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. While gluten-free bread should be ordered the day ahead, the staff managed to produce two buns within 20 minutes. The location is literally 1 minute from the train station, making it an excellent option to work in Brussels and enjoy the city of Leuven at night.

I missed some air conditioning on the hottest day of the year in Belgium, which made the room very hot. Luckily a fan was provided. I suppose airco is not necessary during most of the year though.

Great location with excellent food

It’s location. The breakfast. The room was clean and tidy

I was on the top floor with 2 heavy bags plus motorcycle clothing on a very hot day. There was no lift or offer of help to carry my stuff up 66 stairs.

Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent location, and the breakfast a real plus especially considering the cost of food locally. The staff were so friendly it added a lot to the enjoyment of my stay. I don't speak or understand Dutch but the staff could not have treated me any better.

Cannot fault the hotel in any way. The weather was lousy, but that's not the hotel's fault.

Good value location in Leuven, well situated for the train, the brewery and the town centre.

Good location, easy walk to the town centre. Rooms were basic but everything worked and the included breakfast was good. Be ready for stairs to your room!

Only slight issue was we had to ask for multiple room keys when we checked in. They did supply them when we asked.

Could do with a bit of care to things like a broken curtain rail and a damp patch in the bathroom While stairs were mentioned, the 2nd floor apartment has 50 steps to get there - and the staircase is quite narrow for lugging a suitcase up and down

Ideal accommodation right at Leuven Station, with great staff

Hotel is conveniently located just a few steps from railway station. Staff were really nice and helpful (appears to be a family-run business) - they allowed us to store our suitcases for a couple of hours as we arrived prior to check-in time, and then assisted us to carry the bags up to our room on the third floor. Unfortunately due to an early departure to catch a flight, we never got to have breakfast there - one day we will go back to check it out.

Shower was only luke-warm, but that may have been due to the early morning hour (6 am) due to our need to get to the airport on time for our flight.

Everything pretty much! :) The breakfast was quite nice with lots of fresh fruits.

It said in the messages (received after the reservation) that the check in starts at 3 p.m. - it's late. But ultimately it was earlier - great. Some minor things: long time for water to get warm in the shower, quite a noisy heater (and stairs :)). A hair dryer would have been nice.

The breakfast was excellent; the food was good and it has a good variety. The location was excellent. The size of the room was also good.

Uncomfortable beds, with the boxspring a bit worn out (very bouncy and a bit uneven). The bathroom did not seem to have been cleaned thoroughly, but nothing major.
