Cute room, easy stay for my single night in Oban. Easy access to the center of town for restaurants and shops, didn't attempt walking as the hill was a little daunting and it was pouring rain while I was there. Was able to easily find parking in the neighborhood. Gorgeous view of the harbor from my room.
Had to remember my keys to access my private bathroom across the landing and get back into my room in the middle of the night. One of those fun quirks of traveling and not a deal breaker!

The guest house high up on a hill, was an old manse clergy residence that had beautiful architectural highlights. The room I stayed in was lovely and spacious and had a sitting area with gorgeous views of Oban looking out to the sea. I also had my own large private bathroom with full amenities. The owners (the DiCiacca's) were very friendly and treated me like a welcomed guest! Parking was available in front of the property and there was a pedestrian pathway with easy access down to Oban's town center around the shopping areas. Ardmor Seaview is centrally located just above the famous Oban Distillery which makes Oban a very walkable town for shopping, sightseeing and its famous local seafood. I would recommend this guest house for a very nice stay in Oban, especially for the value (there is no food served, but there are plenty of great options within a five-minute walk).

Beautiful vintage guest house on the hill - close to Oban tower - the view from our bedroom window was spectacular -worth every penny. The room itself was spacious and mega comfortable and allowed us to relax as we were having a 3 day holiday in Oban just having a nice chilled time.

The location was amazing. A short walk down the hill to the Distillery and Port. Love the fact that we were able to get into the room early as it was ready. Super nice host

Beautiful views! Large comfortable room.
Host accommodating for a one day earlier stay given power outages caused by Storm Amy.
The private bathroom was across the hall and had steps.

Our room was spacious and well appointed in an old style guesthouse. Bed was comfortable with lovely pillows. The bathroom was great with hot shower and no problem even though it was across the hallway.
It was in a great location with beautiful view of the harbour and an easy walk into town.
It was great to have fresh milk and a small frig.

The view is incredible! Waking up to the sights and sounds of the port is brilliant. The bed is huge and comfortable.
The bathroom is private but across a corridor.

Friendly, helpful welcome. Absolutely stunning view and room. Every need catered for - lovely touches - dressing gown & toiletries (didn’t use, but still…) Even a telescope in the room to while away the time absorbing the view. We’ll be back for longer next time!
Nothing. I would just say it would have had 10/10 had I not found the shower tray too slippery for my arthritic body to handle. I’d have appreciated a mat to put in just for some grip - couldn’t balance and hold on easily - but maybe that’s just me - the bathroom itself was a dream. Really excellent quality all round - would definitely recommend.

A very warm welcome and introduction to the facility. Later there has been heavy rain and the owner asks us to let him drive us to the restaurant. Very nice service!

I wanted more email communication about the details of our arrival and the booking itself. We received an email but wanted that email 3 or 4 more days before arrival as well as at a week before also. Other hotels did this and it gave us confidence in what to expect. Very important.

We had stayed at Ardmor previously and automatically booked again when we knew we would be going to a wedding in Oban. The owners are fabulous: welcoming, friendly, helpful and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble.
The location is terrific, looking over the distillery and the harbour... even if the walk back up from the town is steep!! The rooms are lovely: spacious, light, well-presented with wonderfully comfortable beds and gorgeous bed linen. Thoughtful additions in the form of refreshments, refrigerated fresh milk and water (breakfast is not provided here which is fine as there are so many options in the town), as well as a coffee maker.
We liked everything - very much! There are a couple of really small improvements that could have a very positive impact: the sleigh bed is positioned in the centre of the room which means you have a wonderful view of the harbour through the huge bay window, whilst lying in bed. However, it means that bedside lamps have to be battery operated to avoid trailing wires... I think there were some last time we stayed, but not on this occasion. No real problem during summer months but could be a challenge in the winter.
The huge bathroom has everything you could need, including high quality toiletries, but the towel rail is not within grabbing distance of the shower... again a very minor thing and not something that would stop us rebooking.

Location, friendly staff, views, in-room amenities.
Bed a bit soft for me. Not an en-suite but not a big problem. Good bathroom facilities but across corridor.

We loved the wonderful view over the harbor, and it was so easy to head into town from there. We were warmly welcomed and the room had everything we wanted. With the Ardmor Room (which we had) comes a huge bathroom (not en-suite, but right next to it). We loved the big room, the comfy, huge bed. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much for sharing your house!
Breakfast is a bit spartan (cereals/oatmeal and milk), but it was plenty for us.

Bathroom excellent, huge, but across the hall and not en-suite

The view to the town and the harbour was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very well equipped.

The room had an amazing view of the harbor and you could walk to town. The room had a refigerator and a large bed, and two chairs by the window.
The bathroom was private but across the hall.from the room. It boasted a beautiful tub but there was no hot water to it. I had to contact them twice about it and it didn't work until the next day. There was warm water only in the shower. Very steep walk to town but Oban is on a hill. No breakfast with the room and unclear as to how to order food from menu.

Very clean room and lovely view.
It was quite a disappointment to realize that the bathroom was not inside the room, but outside in the hallway. Missing bedside lamp.

Location had great views. Up on the hill overlooking the town, so a steep walk.
The owner/host was exceptionally helpful...super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable room with lovely outlook.

Great picturesque old guesthouse, situated at a beautiful hillside, quiet very and peaceful. Short ways to the city center of Oban and the Oban distillery. Thank you Mario for all your support and even taxi to and back to the Superstore TESCO, due to our unpleasent situation of no luggage delivery at EDI-Airport at that day. You are a great host! We will certainly return when being in Scottland next time.

Great location on the hill overlooking the town. Easy walk down to the waterfront and town centre - steep walk back up however there is a railing and not difficult. Spacious open room with beautiful outlook. Comfortable bed. Lovely host.
Bathroom was across the hall however this was not an issue. Huge bathroom floorspace with corner bath and seperate shower.

Beautiful old property with great views of the harbour. The rooms is large, clean and comfortable and the owner is very friendly. Bathroom is close to room and very spacious.
The parking and surrounding roads can be a bit of a challenge but that was mainly due to our inexperience in the area.

The view! The description of the room we booked stated it had a view of the harbor/bay and indeed it was fantastic. You are up on a hill overlooking everything without obstruction. Great to unwind in the evening with a glass of wine. There was a little fridge, a selection of cereals, milk with bowls and cutlery provided, so you could have a simple breakfast in the unit. This was appreciated when you have an early ferry to Isle of Mull booked. Oban is a nice town to spend some time in, we enjoyed our time there. Parking at unit was available.
As noted in the description of the unit, the private bathroom is not an ensuite, you do have to go across the hall. It is a nice big bathroom with shower and tub. Robes and slippers are provided. Not a big issue, but we had to try to be quiet as we came and went, so as to not disturb the other guests with the door banging. However, this did not diminish the lovely view and enjoyment of our stay.

The view of the town from the room was amazing, as was the location. Very easy to walk to everything we needed in Oban (meals, sites, shops). After exploring the city on some brisk October days, the Ardmhor provided a warm, cozy room to relax in.
Hard to say what I would improve upon, as I found the lodging to be accurate to the listing.

Ardmor must have one of the very best views over Oban. The bay window even had a telescope for looking out over the bay and the islands.

Ardmhor House was by far the best accommodation I had during my week-long holiday in Scotland. The room and facilities were clean, modern, and comfortable, the views were incredible, and the hosts, Morven and Mario, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. When my train out of Oban was canceled the night before check-out, they were more than happy to let me stow my luggage downstairs in the morning for a few hours. Really could not have had a better experience!
This is just the reality of visiting a coastal town like Oban and not a drawback of the property at all -- the trek up the hill to Ardconnel Terrace is a bit brutal with luggage on foot. For anyone not in good health and/or with a lot of luggage, driving or taking a taxi up the hill to the house is probably your best bet.
