Great value for money clean comfy well done

I met the lady owner on arrival very friendly told me about the room locks etc as a bit tricky but explained it perfectly. Said about some local places to eat and for entertainment which was good.

If had to say anything bad would be the parking. Parking restriction out side payment between 9-6 and check out at 10 was onlybdown said as didn't want tobget a ticket so had to keep that in mind. But that isnt there fault and not really a major issue.

Clean and well furnished. The owner was very friendly.

The room is small and we struggled to lay out our 2 open suitcases for our 2 day stay. Lots of stairs which was fine for us but could be a problem for seniors.

A home from home

The property was near to the train station - 5-10 min walk. The exterior was smart and the interior clean, smart, homely and warm. Our room was clean, freshly decorated and the shower room spotless. The host was very friendly and actually ran us to the car hire company in her own car to save getting a cab. Good location for harbour restaurants and to catch the ferries as well as the trains.

Good location close to town. Room was very well presented and comfortable.

On our last morning we could get hot water from the shower, tried contacting the owner and called their contact number and no response. This little incident took the shine off our stay.

Small but clean single room on the 3rd floor, nicely decorated hallway, small fridge in the room (no freezer). Towels change/cleaning upon request. Reasonable price.

Close, but not too close to the city center. The bed was very comfortable. How was very accommodating. I hurt my ankle and she brought me some ice.

Parking was not included. Paid parking at the street was the only option.

Lovely room. Great location. Very helpful staff/owners. A lovely break. Two minutes from the harbour.

Everything. Come and go as you please . Owners are on hand if needed but leave you completely alone . I like that 😁

Perfect place stay in Oban

We had a perfect stay at Sandvilla! Josephine was a fantastic host — friendly, attentive, and full of helpful local tips. The room was clean, cozy, and the bed very comfortable. Located only 5 min walking from the town center. Paid parking was conveniently located nearby and easy to access. All in all, a wonderful place to stay while in Oban — highly recommended!

A small fridge to keep drinks and snacks would have been helpful . We understand no take out to the room but would have been helpful to not have to throw out all foods/ drinks between guest accommodations .

We headed off for the islands the next day and it was absolutely stunning.

Everything was lovely! The room comfortable meeting all our needs. Josephine was calming and efficient. She sent us on our way so we would be on time for the Oban Distillery Tour which exceeded our expectations as well.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this place! Clean peaceful perfect for our needs.

Excellent accommodation

This is a beautiful guest house in a great position near shops, restaurants and the sea front etc. It is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, tastefully decorated. The room has a small fridge in it which is perfect as they dont serve breakfast, so take some cereal and milk and they will provide plate and spoon if you ask. No carry out food like fish and ships, curry etc which is good in my opinion as it would affect other guests. I would highly recommend.
