Counting the days until we can go back!!

We loved old world elegance and luxury of this property with just a hint of the unexpected! Dan and Graeme were honestly the most lovely hosts and we cherish the conversations we were able to have with them. My granddaughter loves her two books written by Dan and they will remain family treasures for their beautiful life lessons. Our room was gorgeous and every detail down to the Tunnock's Tea Cakes beside the coffee & tea were a delight! We highly recommend you stay with Graeme and Dan if you are visiting Oban!!

Absolutely beautiful. Don’t think twice about booking- just do it

OMG this property is quite simply beautiful. Out hosts Graeme and Dan were lovely and greeted us personally on arrival and again on our departure. Ask them about the mounted bull head in the entry!! Quite a story. The room was divine. VERY spacious, with a full king sized bed and yet PLENTY of room to move around. We were fortunate enough to have a front room with a beautiful bay window overlooking the water. My elderly mum was in her glory sitting there watching the boats sail by and the sunset over the water. More than we could have hoped for and most definitely the nicest of the six overnight stays we had during our trip. Now back Down Under 🇦🇺 but I will definitely be staying there again next time I visit Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Glenburnie House was an unexpected gem.

Graeme & Dan were incredible hosts in a beautiful home - and it really did feel like a home. Wonderful attention to detail - gorgeous wallpaper, chandeliers, every comfort you could think of! Easy walking distance to town!

Glenburnie House is my dream place to stay on vacation!!

Two couples of us were traveling Scotland by rental car for vacation. Oban was near the end of our trip. Although we had booked the place for two nights, we certainly wished we could stay longer. Everything about Oban, Glenburnie House and our Hosts was soooo enjoyable! To our Hosts: Great job on running a guest house! Everything (facilities, hospitality, room decor, emenities and location are Top Notch!!

We had Room 9 bay window looking over the bay watching the ferries come and go beautiful room with a high standard interior.

the shower looked amazing but both myself and my husband could not get any pressure from it which was a shame the bathroom tap was the same so maybe a water pressure problem

Huge bedroom suite and bathroom with many modern touches in a stately Oban home directly overlooking the water. Super easy stroll to town center. The proprietors are princes, providing quick advice for independent travelers.

Great hosts and a lovely hotel

Lovely room in nice location which we couldn’t make the most of because a named storm blew up during our stay. The storm put pay to our planned visit to Mull but the hotel couldn’t be more accommodating and everything was really good.

This is a phenomenal property to stay at. Wow

This was heaven. Graeme and Dan were amazing. The room was huge and we had every luxury at our disposal. The bathroom was large with a good shower and was spotless. We had copious tea and coffee facilities. The bed was super comfortable and more than once we had a mid day nap to avail of the quietness and the comfort. The view from the room was 5 star and this will be a memorable place for us.

Exceptional stay in Oban.

The property was beautiful and room was beautifully appointed with exceptional attention to detail. Dan and Graeme made us feel welcome from the start and nothing is too much bother. We had dinner 2 doors up at Porcini and we were blown away by the quality of food, the staff and ambiance of the restaurant. We hope to return someday!

A perfect getaway!

The house was expertly decorated and the rooms were well apointed and comfortable. Graeme was super welcoming and happy to provide expert local guidance. The location is a 15 min or less walk along the promenade to the center which makes it much nicer and easier to park. Gorgeous views as well.

Everything was perfect! Cannot recommend Glenbernie house enough. Oban is a great desination and there is so much to do right outside your door.

Highland holiday highlight

Well equipped room with very comfy bed, the facilities box complete with cutlery and plate/bowls which made it possible to eat in the room, and the glorious view of the bay - it was very hard to close the curtains at night. Also absolutely lovely hosts - thank you!

A magical visit with new old friends.

The hotel is picturesque and our sea view room pulled us out into the beauty of Little Bay and the Scottish coast each evening. The peace of the sea and sunset was restful and recharged our batteries. But the best thing about Glenburnie House is Graeme and Dan. They are attentive, entertaining, intelligent, and caring hosts. If we were up for a conversation, they reveled us with fascinating stories of travels and different cultures. We shared our histories of growing up and our careers and interests. When we needed, information, they gave us great suggestions about Oban and things to do, And when we needed privacy, they were invisible until we needed them. Dan and Graeme have become good friends in three short days and we will miss them. A special place and very special hosts.

A gem of a Guesthouse

Fantastic guesthouse, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. In a quiet location but right on the promenade, a ten minute flat walk into town and a further five minutes to the rail and ferry station. If you want to treat yourself book Glenburnie House.

Paradise Found

It was perfection. We received a warm greeting from Graham (Sorry English spelling) and she showed us to our comfortable rooms with a view. Each are different. There was a little basket with a wine opener, flatware, paper towels and other items to make your trip comfortable. A card in the room had many great dining and activity suggestions. Bedding exquisite, bathroom towels fluffy and absorbent. Sitting area in room to overlook the water. Dan is a writer oc children's books and do not forget to buy something special for the children in your life. All in all we could have spent many more days relaxing in the beautiful Oban Inn!

Good location, very comfortable with glorious views.

When we arrived Graeme was very friendly and accommodating. He gave us lots information about the surrounding area. The room had a lovely view. It was divided into a lounge with the very comfortable bed at the back. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided including a hairdryer and iron. We had booked for a short break. There were enough utensils to make a cold breakfast with quality coffee and tea bags supplied and also a fridge.

The car park was for 5 cars only. There was parking on the esplanade but cost during the day.
