Last minute dog friendly immaculately clean apartment with sea views and wonderful comfy beds.

Great seafront location, needed last minute accommodation due to ferry cancellation thanks to Storm Amy, the apartment was spotlessly clean, comfortable and dog friendly and within walking distance to restaurants - just what we needed and at short notice! lovely touches of tunnocks tea cakes and biscuits left, very thoughtful!

One room only had sky lights and no view, but really not a game changer and kitchen was tiny but well stocked

Beautiful accommodation; perfect location

Great location. Close enough to walk into town, but removed enough to be quiet. The view from our room was beautiful and we spent a good few hours watching the boat’s coming in and out. Even the dog enjoyed sitting in the window! The room was very clean, nicely decorated and with everything you need to stay for a few days. The owner was friendly and lovely to talk to and we really appreciated the extra touches of fresh fruit.

Location was pretty good. Great views of the harbor.

It’s obviously an old house as all of the guest houses are so you could kind of hear other guests coming and going. Loved the size of the room. Couldn’t ever figure out how to make the radiator go warmer but it wasn’t that cold. Expect 3 flights up if you get the top floor with no elevator so just be prepared. But overall nice owner and great location.

Amazing location

The location was great. The room was very quiet. The host was friendly. The apartment was very clean.

There was a stain in the bedsheet and some crockery was not clean. A dishwasher might prevent this last point, it might be a good improvement.for.the.future. The bed was pretty hard.

The owners were lovely, caring, helpful people and nothing was to much trouble for them we were so very impressed with everything. I would fully recommend this property to anyone looking for a guest house. The lounge area was so comfortable

Superb: comfortable, spacious and immaculate - with lots of thoughtful extras (and views!).

The room and en-suite were immaculate, well-appointed and spacious and the bed was super comfortable. We very much appreciated all the little details and extras, ranging from a wee fridge, a complimentary sherry and chilled water - and even the fun Scottish items like Irn Bru and Tunnocks products! In addition there was fresh fruit every morning in the lobby, and we enjoyed the guest lounge offering top-ups from tea to toilet roll. Our hosts were very friendly and kindly looked after our bags on check-out day, allowing us to spend our last morning in Oban unencumbered. Superb - highly recommended!

Amazing place

Amazing rooms with stunning view, beautifully designed. We didn’t have a direct communication with the owners,who operate the business but got the filling they gave a lot of thought and catered for our every need.

It was cold and rainy and the place was A bit far from Oban center and needed to drive to the restaurant - but it was definitely worth it!

Perfect place for a stay in Oban.

Central and quiet location. 10mins walk to shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and North Pier. Beautiful big en-suite room. Immaculately clean. Very nice welcome pack with traditional treats (including a can of irn bru). Hosts very approachable and informative. There was also an outside seating area with stunning evening views over the bay.

Excellent stay.

Lovely place,clean and spacious. Few nice touches in room...Scottish irn bru and tunnock tea cakes. Very close to centre of town...nice 10mins walk . Beautiful sea views with outdoor seating. Mark the owner was helpful with recommendation for places to eat and drink. Had a lovely weekend and would definitely return to the Barriemore hotel.

Best hotel, wonderful memories

Beautiful room with stunning sea view! Loved the bed, very spacious and comfortable. The shower was amazing too. I usually don’t like fridges in hotel rooms as they can be very noisy but this one was totally quiet and we definitely needed it as the weather was beautiful and it was hot. Customer service was excellent. I messed up my travel dates and had to rebook. Jan was very responsive and kind and sorted it all out for me in the end. Thank you so much, my mum and I had a wonderful stay at your place and I will definitely book again with you when I come back to Oban.

The view, the view, the view!!! Our room had two large windows looking over the water, with two comfy chairs and binoculars. Elegant room with lots of welcoming touches. Parking close to downtown.

The Barriemor Oban

Great room, very comfortable situated in a wonderful location right on the shoreline. With only a ten minute leisurely walk along the esplanade into Oban centre where we found some great places to eat and drink. With the added benefit being pet friendly. The owner, Mark, who we had the pleasure of meeting, was a mine of local information... couldn't have had time, we will be back.

Lovely apartment and building in a nice location

Our 2 bedroom apartment had a beautiful sea view.

The apartment could do with a coat hanger in the hallway and some hooks to hang towels in the bathroom.

Great hotel

We had a lovely large and comfortable room overlooking the harbour. There was on site parking and it was an easy 15 minutes walk into the town centre so everything was close at hand but quiet in the evening.
