We left a day early.

Vanessa is a very pleasant girl who was very helpful. She managed to get us a room with a walk in shower which was really appreciated.

Thd room was very dated and the floor was very uneven. The furniture was very sticky and needed a good clean.

Comfortable and restful.

No food was being served at the property but a three minute walk took you to another Muthu property serving food. Location was good around ten minutes to the the heart of town but nice and quiet at the hotel.

Minor thing but if you required telly it couldn't be angled down thus giving a dark picture as with modern sets when not looked straight on.

Worn out, tv broken, window hinge broken

The place was run down. A broken hinge on my room window meant it did not close properly and so rattled and wind was howling. My tv did not work. I reported both but nobody came. I was at the back and on the 4th floor so had to walk a long way to my lift. The corridors had windows not closed despite a gale blowing. Energy exits were open and dirt blowing in.

Could easily do better with some basic maintenance

Very handy for local restaurants and bars with a shore front location.

All of the furniture in the room was badly stained/damaged/dirty. Our bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly either loads of dark hairs sottong in the bath. The standard of maintenance could do with improvement also with layers of silicone on everything!

Given wrong door key into someone else's room to begin with. Very embarrassing! Soon resolved though and given different room. Staff did come to our room to check my booking, which made me feel uncomfortable.

A dump that charges ridiculous prices but has nothing to offer

There was no food and no bar. The whole place was badly run down and a dump. Our bathroom sink had no plug and the bathroom bin had no lid. Walls were paper thin and we could hear clearly Our neighbours.

Excellent location in Oban

The location is excellent and the staff are extremely welcoming. Vanessa on reception was fantastic recommending places to eat and things to see ! The hotel is in an ideal area of Oban as there is virtually no traffic noise at night but all attractions are still within 5-10 minutes walk.

There is no bar at the venue but their sister hotel is only a few minutes walk away where you can use the facilities

Where do I start ... I appreciate it was said its not a pet friendly hotel however my dog is a "services" dog certified and wears id along with myself . They "didn't know " what a services dog was ??? my family had to take her to lovely accommodation a hotel 2 doors down who were only sorry they didn't have a room to accommodate me. The bin in my room wasn't emptied Wallpaper ripped on wall. Towel hung up behind the bathroom door not actually sure if it was clean ? It felt damp. luckily I had one of my own. Mould around windows and walls Tv went off at about midnight not hooked up properly. Checkout was 11am, however had cleaner vacuuming outside my bedroom door at 9.30 ? No restaurant or bar but was offered to go to their sister hotel as supposedly this hotel had just been renovated ?? With my discount for being booking member this was still £98 for a single night definitely not worth it ,avoid avoid avoid. I'd have gotten way better at a travel lodge or premier inn

Bit difficult to find at first as the group have three hotels in Oban all on the same road.

The hotel is under renovation which I understand but the amount that is charged for the room with no reception, no bar and no restaurant is ridiculous. breakfast was at the sister hotel 500 yards up the road. I have complained on checking out but have heard nothing

A comfortable stay, where the staff could not do enough to help.

Very friendly staff, could not do enough to help. Very welcoming central lobby. Nice, clean and tidy hallways. A welcome bonus was an upgrade to the room and we were given a larger room, overlooking the bay. Room was nice and warm and bed very comfortable. Also I had pre-warned the hotel of food intolerances and they took this on board at breakfast, with no issues at all.

Although we were in an upgraded room, it was obviously a little dated. Some of the wallpaper was peeling and there were obvious areas that required a bit more than cosmetic maintenance. However, this did not detract for the overall experience.
