A beautiful and cozy hotel in Oban

A beautiful and cozy hotel, a little bit off Oban's city center. We were welcomed at the hotel by the lovely receptionist who went through the necessary info we needed and offered us a glass of Champagne (nice touch). The rooms are super comfortable, quiet and equipped with everything one can think of. The hotel serves a delicious breakfast, based on each guest’s request (submitted the night before).

We were greeted with a warm welcome from staff, the service was exceptional, so friendly and attentive, where you feel right at home. Amazing location for watching the ships from the bay window and a wee dram. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Really lovely accommodation and fabulous breakfast.

Gem of a property in a stunning location , Carrie and team were exceptional. Lots of really nice touches from welcoming drinks , to pre breakfast left at your door … juice and a danish was a nice touch . Breakfast was lovely . Decor quirky but nice .

Super cool and welcoming - not an easy achievement!

The welcome we received was so warm and immediately we felt special. Thank you so much for the wonderful glass of bubbly! This set us up so well to deal with all the drama of cancelled ferries etc and no electricity on Mull! We were recommended a wonderful place to have supper - thank you so much. We will return.

Very dog-friendly, my dog was given a sausage for breakfast. the breakfast chef is great. The room is stunning and the launge has a great atmosphere. Would stay there again.

Great location and comfortable stay... and a few suggestions : )

This B&B is in a picturesque location and is a Victorian home that is very nicely decorated and cozy. We stayed in the "Woodland apartment" that sits behind the property (no view) and is located on a walk path that leads to a castle and grounds. The location is convenient with a short walk to town (10 mins). The staff were very courteous and friendly and shared the information we needed at check-in. The apartment had a nice bed upstairs (narrow stairs with an "Z" shaped curve that made carrying suitcases a bit difficult. The shower was a nice size and the water pressure was great and lots of hot water :) The kitchenette was very useful since we decided to cook one night, the refrigerator was great for storing drinks and food, perfect size for 2 people.

A few things we'd suggest to the owner: in the kitchenette a dish drainer, tea towels and kitchen roll (we went and purchased them)would be nice. In the bathroom, there is little to no space to put toiletries, although the decor is very nice the counter space is scant. There is no toilet roll holder, they are left on the back of the toilet or floor. A hook on the back of the bathroom door, (the heated towel rack is nice but does not fit 2 bath towels). Also, a hook or two next to the sink to hang hand towels would be helpful. Finally, the small TV in the living room is old and difficult to see from the couch. We were fortunate that no one was in the adding room 'till the last day of our 5 night stay since we could hear their conversation in the morning as if they were in the same room : (

It was a short one night stay but we would definitely return for a longer stay

The house has been beautifully furnished and decorated and the location is ideal for the ferry and to walk into town. The breakfast was cooked in an open plan kitchen which was super.

Can’t think of anything really. Our room had an old styled bath which took up a lot of space in the bedroom. The shower was big so not sure why both were there. But others probably love it!

Really lovely decor in the lounge area and a well stocked honesty bar was a great touch. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel immediately welcome. Our room was also lovely.

My only complaint was that the pillows were a bit lacklustre.

Not a lot of room for clothes if staying longer than day or two. Not a lot bathroom space for toiletries. Understand space would be difficult but trying to come up with something we didn’t like is also a problem!
