Arrived14th Sept for a couple of nights. Upon entry to my room noticed scaffolding and ladders right outside the bedroom and bathroom.
Bedroom window was also cracked. Bathroom window top pane had clear glass with no window covering, would not have taken a shower, as no privacy. This I feel is unacceptable for anyone but particularly a lone female. Requested another room which the staff did manage to find as the hotel was busy, appreciated this. However in the other room bathroom floor moved badly underfoot. At the time of booking was not aware of the state of the hotel, it was dusty and noted fallen plaster and a lot of dampness in communal areas. The work going on was major, replacing fallen ceilings and unstable floors. In this state the hotel should have closed until all this major work had been carried out.
