The location
Front door lock did not work properly ,the key kept turning in the lock, struggled to get in at night, next morning had to leave out the back, had to pass through the kitchen and laundry, noises from pipes when other guests used the toilet,

What a little gem , I loved the room , it was warm and cosy, the bed was very comfortable, the host Chris couldn't do enough us , we had a slight hick up with the front door,we couldn't get it to open , although he was running a restaurant that evening, he ran across to help us and in return he offered us with a free breakfast,

Quirky dexor
Owner was away. Floors and most surfaces dirty - room needed a deep clean. TV didn't work. No breakfast provided even though this was included in the booking.com description

We stayed for one night. The guest house is very cosy and clean. Our room could use an update and the bathroom needs some refurbishing. Overall, we had a nice stay, we were within walking distance of bats, restaurants and the harbour.
The bathroom in our room could use an update and a little refurbishment.

Location was great, nice decor, quite quiet at night which is great.
Room was in need of a clean. Bed was clean enough however the toilet, shower and carpets were dirty.
A towel was on the shower door that had been used previously. Mirrors and light switches were grubby.

Nice and central.

The Lagganbeg Guest house was very cozy and cheerfully decorated. I loved the window seat in the twin bed room and thank you for providing the small fan. Although we didn't eat breakfast (due to ferry schedule), the dining room looked warm and inviting and our host offered to cook breakfast for us.
Bathroom shower might need a little update and deep cleaning.

Location was perfect walking around the picturesque town. Parking was close by.
Luggage racks in rooms. Enduite bathrooms. Interesting decor Nice host met us and cooked breakfast.
Rooms are on small side. No lift to upper floors.

Well located, Chris was exceptional, very good breakfast.
Very small rooms, not as clean as we prefer.

Good locations
Parking not available outside of the guest house how ever there is a car park 50 yards away free after 6pm until 9am so not to bad

The person looking after the b and b was very pleasant and working under difficult circumstances.
The room was quite small. Nowhere to sit except the bed. Everything looked very ‘tired’ and could have done with a thorough deep clean

The accommodation had availability and reasonable pricing for Oban in mid summer. It had central location, though it was on busy main road. Beds were comfortable and clean , and there was tea and coffee in room. Private bathroom, with TV and Sky. Contact telephone with host representative who was often busy elsewhere. A cooked breakfast was available when ordered.
The decoration was unusual with original plastered ceilings, dark hall, with many different styles throughout. Old fashioned and tired! Breakfast was not the usual free-flowing self serve buffet type. Drinks limited to one mug ( instant coffee). Though spoons on table, no cereal available. Felt it was restricted in generosity.

Lovely place for a weekend, clean and comfortable, would recommend.

The location is a 10. Line(SPELLING) Is an extremely hard worker who is very helpful. We had one of our best dinner's in Oban at The Loren. Highly recommend it. He came every morning to cook breakfast. Usually it was eggs, bacon(ham), beans, and mushrooms. Coffee or tea was also offered along with water.
It was difficult to get the right water temperature. It definitely needed some work. I encourage the owners to fix that.

Chris provided a good breakfast but I think he simply had too much to do. He was in charge of everything.
The location was good.
The place really needs a good cleaning. The comforter on our bed wasn’t clean, dust on furniture etc. The entrance needs work as well. It’s just unkept. Sorry to give this review but it was really overpriced for what we received. Would not recommend it. No reflection on Chris.

We liked the location and the flamboyant style of interior decorating. The beds were comfortable.
We had trouble operating the shower, with the switch in the bedroom, and then we couldn't turn the shower off with the on/off button on the device itself. Tourists need instructions with this typically British device!!!
Also the lovely young man who as he told us is also the manager of the Chinese Restaurant around the corner seemed rather overworked. He was perfectly friendly and hospitable, but he had to divide his attention between the two places and was dashing back and forth both when we checked in and the next morning for breatfast.
Finally, British/Scottish food (especially breakfast) just isn't up to the standards of many other countries, unfortunately.

Great location in Oban. Double room was small but very clean with good, comfy bed. Breakfast cooked to order. Seaview from room 1! Helpful staff.
Room smallish, but managed.

Good location - close to the town centre and the ferry.
The breakfast was terrible. Despite being given notice that we were vegetarian, no provision was made. Other residents were given the full Scottish breakfast - we were given beans, tomato and mushrooms for breakfast which was the full Scottish breakfast minus sausage, bacon and egg. No substitutes were supplied.

Made to order breakfast was great. Chris made us feel right at home and the location was perfect.
Parking is very limited in front of the guest house but there is a paid parking lot across the street. It would have been useful information to have beforehand but it all worked out fine.

A comfortable, quirky hostel in a great position to explore Oban. We had everything we needed, including a lovely cooked breakfast. Very flexible, too, with our check-in time that had to be adapted.

We were lucky to find accommodation on a very busy weekend. Chris was very attentive and friendly
Couldn’t find parking at rear but parked the car park down the road

The house was in an amazing spot, very remote and quiet, really lovely.
I loved the breakfast, especially the porridge.
The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable.
I had the twin room. While this was a little cheaper, it felt a bit cramped.
The bathroom was ok, but I generally prefer proper showers and don't like shower curtains.

The absolute star attraction at this property is CHRIS who manages to make you feel like a special guest in so many ways. He is attentive, proactive and extremely responsive, as well as cooking up a generous breakfast, served with a genuinely friendly smile

The host was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and just all around amazing. He made us feel at home and really made us have such a wonderful memory of Oban in general. I’ve traveled a lot, but it is rare to receive the type of care and attention that Chris gave us. Really too tier!
Amazing experience. Nothing to report.

Hotel is central for the town and ferry port. There is no parking, but Farmfoods over the road has an open free carpark.
Room could have been bigger.

Location
Although it said Bed & Breakfast , no breakfast was offered as they no longer supplied this to their guests. Also, although the bed itself was comfortable, it had 2 single duvets on a double bed which was not ideal.
