Excellent B&B and enjoyed every minute.

Location excellent and central to everything. Used the other B&B they have on several occasions. Spotlessly clean as usual and Owner is a lovely friendly person. Have been travelling to Oban for several years and always had a good experience . The people are helpful and friendly Oban is a beautiful place and is like a home from home to me. Several members of my Family have also enjoyed visits with me to Oban.

I would not change anything and there was nothing i did not like. Whats not to like about Oban.

Location was good. Near the city center

The room was cramped, with four sleeping spaces. The bathroom was shared with another room, which was not clearly stated in the description. One of the beds was unstable and made unsettling noises, making it difficult for me to sleep properly.

Comfortable, convenient and very good value.

I booked the guesthouse online when I realised that my planned train connections wouldn't get me home on the day I'd intended to return. So I wanted reasonably priced accommodation for my unexpected overnight stay in Oban. The Tanglin proved to be more than 'any port in a storm' but a very comfortable base from which to explore the town and surrounds. I did not meet the proprietors but they sent me some very helpful messages and left the key in an envelope for me to check in. The instructions they provided were very clear and the room was very comfortable indeed and excellent value in such a popular tourist destination. The guesthouse has a homely and individual 'feel' with interesting decor that didn't feel at all 'corporate' or standard - a nice touch of individuality. I recommend it.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. Breakfast would be nice but there are places to eat very close by. Initially I thought it might feel claustrophobic as the rooms and guests are in very close proximity. A family were staying in the next rooms and I thought I might be disturbed but they very politely and considerately observed the house-rules about not making too much noise. If guests behave responsibly then there isn't a problem.

Lovely 3 night stay at

No fuss, discreet host- come and go as you please. Easy free parking and close to Oban centre. Everything you would want in the room, attention to detail 👍

Oban for the Isle of Mull ferry.

Quiet. Private parking in lane behind property. Old but clean and comfortable. Not far from centre of town and ferry. A long walk but day parking available for a fee, 7.5 pounds for the day near the terminal. Limited street parking. 4 hour limit.

Room was 4 floors up and I really struggled with the stairs. we were not aware of this until arriving at the property. For a family room it was quite small and didn't even have a chair to sit on.

The location was good for access to the ferry.

Maintenance was poor. Two out of two lamps did not work. The bed was so broken down that we had to sleep on the edge framework to get any support. We paid good money, break down and replace the mattress.

Overpriced, claustrophobic room

The location was good but Oban is small and any location in town would probably be good.

The keys were taped to the door and there was no one to greet us or give us information about the guesthouse or location. For the price, the room was extremely cramped and difficult to maneuver in.

There was no breakfast. This didn‘t matter though, since the hotel is located in the centre of Oban.

Inadequate lighting in lower stairwell; safety hazard. Wifi didn’t work in room, only in lounge. Sink in bathroom too big, forcing you to sit sideways on the toilet.

Lovely guesthouse with great ammenities, in an awesome spot.

Very nice location, so close to town. The owner was very friendly, and gave us some great tips of what to see around Oban. The room was nice and big, and having opening windows was really nice. The bathroom was really nice and big too. A very comfortable stay.

The only thing was the shower was hard to get to stay on a consistent heat.

Location was great

Poor communication. Its a guest house with no possibilities to have a meal (if you are not booking the breakfast you can not access to cutlery or something to warm up) and we can not ask because nobody was there.

A well located clean property

Well located property Very clean - there had been an effort made with the refurbishments.

We didn't see the owners/management at any point of our stay - the personal touch never goes amiss. Breakfast might have been supplied for the price we paid. Unfortunately, not having a key to the breakfast room meant that we had to walk the long way round with bags to the car parking. Car parking was very limited at the back of the property. Overall, OK accommodation, but some interaction with the owners would have been nice.
