A wee gem in a great location

This was my first time staying here and the first thing that stood out was the friendly welcome at reception, followed by the friendly staff that I met at breakfast and the friendly housekeeping staff. The rooms were clean and fresh bottles of water were replaced and a nespresso machine in the room also for coffee lovers, there was also tea, hot chocolate as an option also. I would recommend The Scot and I would also come back myself if the price stays reasonable.

The only thing that I did notice was the WiFi reception wasnt great in my room, kept cutting out, but this is only a small minor detail.

Good location, clean, nice town, parking convenient, we got water and a marshmallow in our room, fair value for money off season

- The staff wasn’t very available as we tried 4x to order something (a drink) at the bar and nobody came to serve us - there was a weird smell in the hotel - the floors were so thin that we woke up from the upstairs neighbours multiple times during the night (like really think and you could hear all the voices) - the carpet was wet in the room

Well worth a visit

Very pleasantly surprised to find this lovely hotel especially at the price. Great facilities including fantastic shower with great shampoo and shower gel, fluffy towels. Bed comfortable. Clean and well presented. Can't comment on the food but would definitely recommend

Excellent value for money in the heart of Oban.

The hotel is located in the center of Oban, with free parking. Staff were exceptional, offering local hints and tips and adding a last-min breakfast order on our last day. We didn't have big expectations due to the price point, but we were surprised and delighted at the value for money. We would certainly not hesitate to book another stay.

Nice an stylist, really clean an tidy, the decor was nice an modern, bed was comfortable, pillows were puffy, ur head sank into the but were comfy, Staff were very attentive, even although it was just 1 person covering reception and bar, but wasnt really busy anyway, December after all,

The bar shut at 10.30, (but again it is the weekend before Xmas so not exacty busy), The room we had was a bit on the small side, The tele didny work properly, it was a smart tele but couldnt use Netflix or Amazon, but normal tele was fine

Fabulous stay, sound proof rooms. Great location.

The main areas of the decor were industrial trendy, the lounge was comfortable with nice chairs and the rooms were smartly decorated with a fabulous large comfy bed. Shower room was smart and stylish. Parking was fine at the rear of the property. We've stayed at various properties in the Oban area and this has been the best yet. We will be back!

Good but it needs to be more of a hotel

Breakfast good The decor was miserable.Dark green and grey which made it drab. The bathroom fittings were “trendy” but not easy to use and new towels all the time seemed a waste.I was cold at night and had to ask for more blankets.Four floors and no lift made dragging cases up and down hard(I am 80)
