Location is fantastic and the staff are brilliant and friendly. Great old fashioned elevator and the views cannot be beaten. I have rated 7/10 due to location/views and the front desk staff. The staff are the saving grace otherwise this would be a 5/10
The headboard was a faix leather which was severly ripped with unusual white stains. Notified the front desk who apologised. Thick dust was over the wardrobe and sideboards. Mould on windows and the Double bed was two singles pushed together. This isnt normally an issue, but there was a massive ridge at the edges which made prevents it feeling anything like a double.Walls stained, light switches grubby and rooms are in need of updating.

The Columba is in a prime location in Oban, right on the waterfront. Very convenient for the ferry terminal and with a great range of shops and restaurants just a short walk away. The staff on reception and in the bar were friendly and helpful.

Great location .
Lovely and warm hotel.
A great bonus of a rubber bath mat and grab handles. Plenty of tea and coffee with a kettle. I didn’t use iron or ironing board nor the hairdryer.
Bed was awful, needs a new mattress. A lot of noise coming from other rooms. I could hear snoring, for once it wasn’t my husband! The curtains wouldn’t/couldn’t close properly.
I booked a double room but got a twin.
