We stayed one night in Oban in our way from Inverness to Glasgow. A bit of a detour, but worth it. We booked last minute. The hotel has a superb view of the bay. Unfortunately we timed it with a large group of tourists staying there, and this seemed to have overwhelmed the staff a bit. We couldn't park in the hotel, and parked in the street overnight. That was ok. The staff accommodated that we could have breakfast earlier than the booked time. It was ok for one night stop, but maybe not more. Under different circumstances had the hotel not been busy with large group of tourists, I am sure the experience would have been much better.

Hotel was very clean. Lovely spacious room & bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Lovely view over harbour. Great location for station & lots of local restaurants & shops
