Disgusting 😡

An absolute disgrace, filthy, smelly, run down old fashioned excuse for a hotel

There’s absolutely nothing to like about this place I paid £190 for two nights, I would stay in a tent rather ever having to go back to this dump. I have also contacted booking.com and you haven’t even had the decency to answer me. I only wish I had taken pictures of this place.

Having read some awfully unfair reviews,I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of my little ensuite room.On a low budget ,it was basic but a wee warm haven of personal space and comfort.My breakfast was delicious- eaten with a sea view.The staff were so so friendly and welcoming, it felt very homely.

I cant usually afford to stay in hotels,so I liked everything! It was very much value for money ..but so homely and safe for a lone traveller.

Disappointing

I had been told before travelling to the hotel I could get a continental breakfast to take to my room. On arrival I asked the lady in bar/reception and she said she would speak to her manager. No-one got back to me to let me know either way. Luckily I had taken some food in case there was a problem.

Disappointing and quite basic everywhere.

The young lady on the reception was welcoming and helpful.

The bedroom was in poor repair. The decorations were poor and there were cracks in the ceiling. Also the coving around the ceiling/wall showed signs of water ingress. The shower and toilet were in a small cupboard whereas the wash basin was in the bedroom. There was no lift and the stairs were steep with a door between the top step and the landing.

Breakfast staff were really friendly. Reasonable prices in the bar.

Having stayed several times in the past I thought I knew what to expect. The non cleaning of the room, unless you asked for tea, coffee, bin to be emptied etc due to covid really was a joke as we never saw the sign until our return on the 2nd evening. Shower was also a joke very little water pressure.

It was filthy, decrepit with outdated furniture best suited to a 1970’s nursing home. We stayed for 10 minutes, which was just long enough to book the nearby Premier Inn.

Location with parking.

Very uncomfortable bed. Room smell. No shower water pressure. Venue live music started 1030pm on Saturday night. No wifi. TV didn’t work. Little ventilation and had to shut window due to people smoking on street outside. Otherwise place was great!! Would not recommend staying here.

Amazing friendly, helpful staff. My room was very quiet at night. Brilliant location. No nasty surprises. My dog even got her own breakfast plate.

Hotel is a little dated, almost old fashioned and the furniture is a little tired. No internet in the room. But i knew all this before i booked.
