Greencourt Guest House

My stay at GreenCourt Guesthouse was one of the highlights of my trip, and that was almost entirely thanks to Tony. When hospitality is this genuine, warm, and effortless, you simply stop worrying about everything else. From the moment I arrived, Tony made me feel more like a guest than a customer. He was welcoming, friendly, helpful, and always happy to share advice about the area or just have a chat. You can tell he truly enjoys hosting people, and that creates an atmosphere that is hard to find these days. The guesthouse is comfortable and in a convenient location up the hill overlooking the town, but what you will remember most is the kindness and authenticity of your host. If you appreciate real hospitality rather than just a place to sleep, this is the place to stay. Breakfast served between 8 and 9, also very nice.

Nothing important actually

Location was walking distance to town. It had a nice dining room that looked out over the water. The bowling green in front of the property gave it an open feel. We loved that we could park there. Clean rooms with comfortable beds and nice showers in the bathrooms.

Great location, flat parking a bonus for the motorbike

Nothing not to like

Tony was lovely. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good for one or two nights, but would be very repetitive for longer stays.

Room needs deep clean. Mould in bathroom and on windows. Carpets dirty. Had to ask for towels and toilet paper. Bins not emptied for 3 days. Coffee and tea not replaced in room. Did it ourselves, but would expect better room servicing for the room cost. Eggs always overcooked as kept in warmer.
