Great choice if you're looking for simple accommodation. Just a 10-minute walk to the city centre, parking nearby. They offer breakfast for a small fee, but we didn't have it.
Bed was not so comfy and bathroom was too small

About 15mins walk from train station. Room spotless with good facilities including small ensuite, kettle, tea & coffee. Met Andy & a great cheery fella. Breakfast (included in cost) choices were tea, coffee, juices, toast, croissants, cereals, yogurt & fresh fruits
The bathroom deodoriser was quite strong though a minor issue

It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable, the rooms were bright and airy. There was a glimpse of the sea between the houses. It is very handy for the town centre. The public carpark, which is free 6pm to 9am is just round the corner, literally a few steps away.
It was a little chilly in the room. And it took me a wee while to find the hot water in the shower as the dial had come off so I didn't turn in the right direction straight away. But it was lovely and hot once I got it to the right place.

This guesthouse was in a great location. It had a huge car park next door. The owner welcomed us and seemed pleasant enough. The room was on the 3rd floor so had lots of stairs. It was nice and spacious but was a little outdated. The bathroom was small but it was clean and tidy
The bed was awful. The mattress was thin and well worn. When either of us moved in the night it woke the other one up. When we were checking in the owner was pleasant but his misses was not. She didn't speak or acknowledge us at all. She was more interested in her Chinese takeaway as she ushered her other half into their lounge.

Location great. Handy for the town. Room in the attic on the second floor. Bed comfortable but basic. Towels provided were white but were small and smelled grubby and stale. Whole room smelled musty like wet clothes that had been drying on top of radiator and poor ventilation. The bathroom required a shelf as there was absolutely nowhere to put toiletries, toothbrush etc. The toilet brush was disgusting and had ‘matter’ on it that wasn’t exactly from the last day or so. The bathroom light above the sink had no bulbs in it! The room carpet had crunchy burned areas . The lights , the bedside lights- only one for the single bed and the double bed.
The mirrors were fixed to the wall by layers of paint. The ceiling was a problem as it is in the attic and I was constantly banging my head, getting round the bed, going near windows, moving towards the bathroom. I have come away with bruises on my forehead. I’m only 5ft tall so if it’s a problem for me….,!! Owner is polite and friendly. Breakfast is served in the basement and is like stepping back in time to a youth hostel from the 1970/80’s. Self service and adequate. My partner has come away with bites on his body that were not acquired outside, weather chillly so no way they were from midges etc. As outdoor enthusiasts we know about various biting insects and the only explanation is they were from the bedroom. The bedroom needed a good clean, as did the bathroom. The shower trap was dirty and trying to regulate the water temperature was challenging!
So this is all negative but the couple that met us seemed nice enough and tried to be helpful, however, it needs updating.

I stayed for one night the previous weekend and it was just as warm and welcoming. I really enjoyed the breakfast as well.
Not didn’t like as such but the tv was very high up and I ended up not watching it as it gave me neckache. Probably be okay for someone taller than me.

Nice clean room with comfortable beds. It was clean.
Very small bathroom. It worked for us, but others may find it uncomfortable.
Breakfast was disappointing. No English or Scottish breakfast, just bread/toast, cereal and packaged croissants. We love hiking in the area and wanted to start off with a good breakfast.
And it’s on a busy street. Sleeping with the window open was very noisy. And you have to sleep with the window open, or else it would be too warm at night.

It was very welcoming, clean and warm, my room was lovely and well equipped. Joyce was great, especially as I didn’t arrive until well after 9pm but she was very kind and helpful. I had a continental breakfast, although that doesn’t really describe it, there was a big choice of items and the dining room was very nicely done.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like

Pleasant room, breakfast was good value. good location
We had a bit of a panic when we arrived. We had indicated our arrival time. We were told if no one was in to enter the main door and our key would be on the table in an envelope. When we arrived we rang the bell and no one answered. A voice from the bell said to leave a message which we did. I tried calling but just got an answering machine. We were beginning to panic as we needed to leave our belongings and get something to eat before our concert. We tried ringing the door again a couple of times and we were just going to go back to our car and hope to get in later when the door was opened. I know it was only ten minutes but it was quite scary we thought maybe we wouldn't get in at all. The host was very friendly when he did open but it wasn't ideal. Our room was up two flights of stairs and as a chronic asthmatic I really struggled but I only had to climb twice. I had said we were in our 70s but did not ask for the lower floor. I should have said and the booking was only about 10 days before.

Great location (quiet) and there's a parking lot right beside that's paid, but overnight is free.
The room was very spacious which was great. The one double bed was great and comfortable, good pillows. As far as a one night stay, it did the job. TV worked well, WiFi was strong, amenities in the bathroom are a nice touch. Can't speak to the breakfast as we hit the road early.
It wasn't the cleanest. There was some sand/grit in my bed, but just wiped it off. The twin mattress felt very old with the springs and the centre really caved in.

Convenient location. Comfortable enough room. Clean facilities. Comfy beds. Friendly staff.
Road noisy was quite loud as our room was over the main road, so we had to choose between keeping the window shut and being a bit hot, or opening it and putting up with road noise.
There isn't a lot of space, we didn't quite get if there were areas outside our room we could go into (e.g. an eating or living room area), all the doors in the main flood seemed close. We were there for one night only so it was fine but it might be a bit tight if you're staying longer.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious, we liked the cookies and all the coffee and tea provided!
We would have liked a table in our room, or at least some chairs, instead there was a couch that didn't look very clean or comfortable, so we did not use it. But overall, everything else was clean and this did not affect our stay so much

Smallish attic room. Very small basic en-suite with sliding door right next to bed. Extremely small tv screwed to the base unit- for some reason. Pre-ordered breakfast was incorrect.

We needed overnight accommodation at short notice and DunMoore was perfect for our needs. Andy met us at the door and after that we were free to come and go as we liked. The room was very comfortable and we were provided with tea, coffee and biscuits. The bathroom is small but there was a good supply of hot water and towels. Ideal for ferry travellers.
The rooms are close together so there is some noise as people come and go, but earplugs are provided. The guest house is on a busy road, but closing the windows blocks most of the road noise and Oban is fairly quiet at night.

The location was good for the town.
No interaction from the hosts. Keys were in an envelope at the door. Not very welcoming.
One of our party was inform and her room was on the top floor. Breakfast had a very short 1 hour window.

Street noise was bad. They do provide ear plugs which help a little.
