Great location

There was no problems with the property at all. Car parking options were confusing.

Great stay despite the problem with the heating which detracted from our fully enjoying it

Conveniently located right in the centre of York Privacy of appartment Quiet Bathrooms and hot water were excellentL Lift access Good selection of visitor brochures Good beverage selection /Plenty of crockery etc

No heating on arrival on cold day ( snowed on days 2 and 3) and some heating for rest of break Management company did their best to sort out but main sources still not working before we left. Provided portable heaters which worked well from the afternoon of day 2 but not ideal. System needs sorting out as even if it had been working as in our view with its large lounge and high ceiling we didn't think it would ever produce a warm or comfortable environment in Autumn/Winter. Please consider making a token compensation payment to us for the inconvenience and lack of basic heating in the apartment which should have been checked as working before we arrived. The engineer who came was aware there had been problems before and one if not two of the units had not being working. Thanks to him for coming out so promptly The second bedroom was disappointing/pretty basic - you couldn;t really walk around the bed.and fixtures looked a bit basic/tired - broken picture behind the wardrobe You had to roll out of bed rather than get out which for someone with a dodgy knee is quite an effort to do ! Why did the bed have to be so low to the ground - it had no divan type base and this was not really acceptable and again it was only of a basic constrction - nothing special at all given the overall charge for renting. Might be OK for cildren but as was a double that logic wasn't an option either The security deposit for just a three day stay was a little bit over the top. The deposit is still showing as pending on my bank account and needs to be reversed so it is not actually debited

Bigger than most flats

It was a nice flat and conveniently located to walk everywhere.

No toiletries was a let down. The heaters didn't work so well .... we managed to get one working slightly.

Overall was a great stay. If traveling as a single couple or a family with smaller kids, I would stay again.

Location could not be better! Apartment was updated and well stocked.

We were two couples traveling and the second bedroom was not ideal for a couple. The bed sat on the floor and you had to climb over the other person to get in and out of bed as there was no way to walk around the bed. Also, there were no mirrors with plugs close to them so for the females, getting ready was a challenge.

The location is so central, the apt is brilliant, it’s so big and the 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms are a bonus. The kitchen has everything and more. Fab we will be bk.

Fabulous location for exploring all York has to offer

Location was fantastic. Property was really lovely, characterful, clean and tidy. We used it as our base to explore the city, so we mostly had breakfast there and returned in the evenings to sleep. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was quiet, even though it’s in amongst the shops. Was easy to find and simple to access, with the added bonus of a lift so we didn’t have to carry our suitcases upstairs.

Staying with my sister, so we had a bedroom each, the smaller bedroom was a bit tight on space and the bed was a bit on the firm side for me.

Great spot, but no parking space

Location is excellent for walking in the old town. Very central and close to ships, including groceries, cafes, and The Shambles. The flat is very nice.

Parking that was supposed to be part of the booking, and was one reason we chose this location, was not available (found out just two days before arrival) and consequently required a significant additional cost to park in the nearby pay lot we were referred to. It was close, but could definitely have done without the expense and hassle.

Lovely, spacious apartment in a great location, within easy walking distance to all the joys of York. Home from home experience, comfortable, safe and secure. Clean and stylish, with lots of thoughtful extras perfect for families or couples.

Extracting the key from the lock box was a little tricky, took quite a few attempts, not helped by dim lighting in that area, had to use torch on mobile.

Issues with heating, but nice apartment

The apartment itself was nice and in a perfect location.

We arrived at 8pm on a Friday night in February (really cold weather) to an apartment with no heating on and no instructions on how to turn it on. We spent ages trying to get it to turn on, I tried to use Chat GPT to help and also called my husband, but it was impossible to turn on. I contacted the hosts, which didn't turn out to be helpful, with us even being questioned if we were sure the heating wasn't on (it was 9 degrees in the house!). After numerous messages and phone calls, we gave up and the 3 of us ended up sitting under a duvet in the living room on the first night and showering in freezing cold temperatures the next morning. Someone did come round on the second day to put the heating on, but it really spoilt the experience.

Fantastic stay

Beautiful apartment right in the city walls. We all really enjoyed our stay.

When we got there, there was no key in the key box and I had to contact the company to get another one. The staff were really helpful and the issue was sorted quickly especially as it was later in the evening.

Perfect location for a York getaway.

The apartment is an ideal location in the centre of York. 3 minute walk to the Shambles. I think it took us a maximum of 15 mins to walk anywhere we needed to. The property itself had everything you needed including several hair dryers, a dishwasher and washing machine. We were aware from previous reviews that the second bedroom was small but this didn’t affect our trip at all for a group in their 20’s & 30’s.

Only thing that could be improved is having access to a parking space.

Really enjoyed our stay in a central location with easy access to city

The location was amazing; really central

Unable to have bath or shower in main bathroom as plug did not seal properly & the shower hose kept slipping down. Needed a pair of scissors at one point but could not find any so used a knife. Information provided before stay was misleading as we thought that Netflix was available but found that we needed our own account.

2 night stay in York, cosy spotless apartment fabulous

Location was superb! Very cosy, very quiet, great views from the top, great place to stay with friends or family

If I was being ridiculously picky & had to choose something then there was paint flaking off the bedroom wall, which needs touching up, only cosmetic & the key lock to open the door was a bit flimsy trying to get the key in it kept spinning around & a tiny shelf would be ideal for somewhere to put your shower gel when showering, but they really are the only three things to mention

Small second bedroom, no shower gel or soap in any bathroom. Main bathroom shower head doesn’t stay in a high position just slips to the bottom. Only 5 dinning chairs . Tired decorating

Loved location and the accommodation was ok.

The first bedroom was so small we had to keep our cases in the hall way, door did not close in room, wardrobe was to big and could not put anything in it because of bedding stored. Lounge door would not stay closed. Shower rose would not stay up.

Great location but kitchen furniture and supplies need upgrading.

We liked the location.

I didn't like that the chairs weren't safe to sit on or the smaller bedroom was too small for a very low double bed (and wardrobe) so we couldn't walk safely around. The description said there would be coffee pods, but when there were none upon our arrival, I called the property management. They said pods weren't available. Nor would they supply paper/kitchen towels or oven mitt. It was very disappointing that such a nice kitchen would not be adequately equipped for actually cooking. Only one teaspoon?

The location is unbeatable. The apartment was beautiful and everything I could have wished for.
