Excellent stay in a fabulous location.

The 17th century house is a real gem. It is located just next to the Minster and you could not ask for a better location. The house is old and the floors are not level, but that is part of the charm! If you have mobility issues or difficulties with stairs you might want to book another option. The staff were very good and waited to let us in. The welcome basket was above and beyond anything I’ve seen and was a very nice touch. There is plenty of hot water in the house and the plumbing is good.

There is one step which should be looked after as it is a bit difficult to manage. Everything else was lovely.

We loved the quirky nature of the building. The lounge was a lovely room to chill out.

The welcome pack was the best I have ever encountered, it had everything. Very generous from the hosts. The location was perfect. All tourist attractions, restaurants and pubs within walking distance.

The proximity to all old York, and ease of getting around in the city.

From 6pm to sometimes 4am the noise is unbelievablely loud from the street from revellers.

Exceptional

The whole experience was amazing 👏 Ive stayed at a lot of houses and this was by far the best 👌 I paid for my fella's family to come spend a weekend chilling and we had a great time, its quiry, wonkey but that adds to the fun. It's Right in the middle of york so no taxis required came on the train and it was brillent. Only advise would be ask to talk to the venue as booking.com were really poor at communication 😕 about checking in as soon as I talked to the owner they were amazing 👏 and the shop were I picked the keys up from were professional and very helpful 😀 all in looking to book again

Perfect place to stay to explore this fabulous city.

Location was exceptional. Straight out onto the street next to the minster and some brilliant cafes, pubs and restaurants. Everything within the city walls was within 15 minute walk. The house is superb. Full of old charm with wonky walls and sloping floors, tiny staircases and lovely sitting room with views down to street for a bit of people watching :) The kids loved the house and the city !

Maybe the beds could be slightly comfier but it was not an issue.

Fantastic!

Amazing period property in the heart of York, furnished with all the modern cons. The rooms are really spacious, we loved sitting in the living room while catching up. The outdoor space was a big bonus although we did not really used it due to the weather. Really high standard throughout.

Nothing! I guess it comes with the period charm but the glazing made it difficult to have a good night sleep (bedrooms overlooking the street), due to the noise on the street (and on Friday & Saturday, so not helping) - although the living room seemed to be better insulated. Just to be extra picky ... some kitchen roll in the kitchen would have been handy.
