Simple and straight forward access. The instructions were easy to follow and as described! The location was unreal and was in close walking distance from most of the main attractions and destinations. It was clean and had a modern and fresh decor throughout!

Would have been good to have air conditioning because it was boiling hot in the middle of the May heatwave. It would also have been great to have a curtain (as pictured in the listing), to separate the bedroom area from the kitchen diner and living room area.

We had a very positive stay. The flat had everything we needed and was pleasantly cool, which was especially appreciated during the heatwave. Everything was handled very flexibly, we requested a free cot for our baby and one was provided, and we were also able to check in earlier than scheduled. Communication throughout was excellent, and the location of the flat was very convenient.

The only minor downside was that we could occasionally hear the guests in the flat above.

The location is excellent, right in the centre of York and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions, however there were some downsides to how central it is. We had breakfast at the cafe (KYND) at the top of the street and it was lovely.

Unfortunately, our stay was let down by several issues. We found rubbish left behind by the previous occupant, which wasn’t a great first impression. The WiFi wasn’t working, so we couldn’t use the smart TV, especially as there was no aerial. There was also no mirror near a plug socket to get ready, with the only mirror being in the bathroom. We were only provided with two sachets of sugar, which felt insufficient. Noise was a major problem – the bar across the street was open until around 1am and there was fighting outside on one of the nights and we were then woken at 5am both mornings by bin men emptying bottle bins. The bed was also quite uncomfortable, and the switches for heating the water tank are right next to the bed which gives off a blue light all night which isn't great if you prefer to sleep in darkness. Overall, while the central location is a big plus, I probably wouldn’t recommend this property if you’re looking for a good night’s sleep or plan to spend much time in the apartment. I definitely think there are a few improvements that could be made as some things don't seem to have been well thought out at all.
