Great location. Lovely characterful house.
Second bathroom was actually just an outside toilet with basin. Bathroom door handle falling off. No loo roll or loo brush in the outside toilet.

The location is great, central for all the attractions, shops restaurants and pubs in York.
It was advertised as 2 bathrooms. The second bathroom is an outside toilet, which was a nice outside toilet, but not that good for cold wet weather in January. It would have been nice to have some information in the house relating to how to use the radiators, oven etc but we sorted it so not a real problem

Location was perfect
Cleanliness wasn't great :( especially in the kitchen where the oven and oven trays had been used previously and not washed up. Ditto with the frying pan and saucepans. General cleanliness wasn't great in the living room or bedrooms either. Two of the three light bulbs in the dining area were out, making it very dismal of an evening, and the garden light leading to the outside downstairs toilet ( which was not mentioned in the description as being an outside toilet) was also out making it difficult to use after 4.00pm when dark. Also, the toilet seats in both the bathroom and the outside toilet were broken
Parking at the property was also an issue as it says there is parking for one vehicle outside the property, which I had requested, but no parking permit had been arranged. The host did eventually sort this out with a visitors parking permit, but I had to push to get it so not ideal, and not what you want after a 4 and a half hour drive. However, all that being said, we enjoyed our stay and loved York!
