Distance from apartment to office. We walked 1.5 kms with baggage. Shower area is open and makes floor between living and bed area dangerously slippery. Insufficient lighting. Difficult to identify facilities because of the lack of the illumination.

Amazing location, super comfortable

The location was brilliant, right in the old town that most people travel to see and exsperience. Amazing restaurants and landmarks so close, barely a few minutes walk away. It felt great to stay in one of the oldest buildings in the city, so historic, but so well kitted out with everything! We were four friends in two suits, each one had its own charming character. I'd definitely stay here again.

Location, cute room. The cleaning staff lovely Sabrina was delightful. Tamara was also nice.

Only thing was we are iphone users and unable to cast on the TV. But we really liked the place.

When we were locked out - as code no longer valid despite having booked a later check out time, the member of staff was very helpful

The hotel has both good and bad sides. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad place, but I wouldn’t choose to stay there again

The location of the property was excellent. The room was spacious enough The decoration is very beautiful — overall, I can say it’s a stylish place. It’s also good in terms of cleanliness.

It was quite difficult to reach the room from inside the property — you have to find it on your own. Moreover, the check-out is very early, and the check-in is quite late. You can only leave your luggage at an office located elsewhere, which makes it quite inconvenient since you have to walk with your bags. Additionally, you need to enter a code at the entrance door, but the code system often malfunctions. We were locked out several times and had to try multiple times to get in. This made the stay rather uncomfortable. On top of that, since there are no staff members on-site, there’s no one to ask for help

A quirky and cool room in gorgeous Lyon

Exceptional place in the heart of gorgeous Lyon! Beautifully decorated room with the most gorgeous shower you will ever see. Located on the second floor of a traboule, which was super-cool. Loads of restaurants on your doorstep, however we did not find it especially noisy at night. Somewhat of a late check-in time (1700h), but you can store your luggage in their main office space in Place Bellecour. Just a heads-up that it is a little bit of a hike between the office and the room, but it is level walking, unlike the climb to Fourvière that we did while waiting for check-in :-).

My only feedback for the hotel (and the reason we gave this review a 9 rather than a 10) was the difficulty we experienced accessing the room. When you pay for your room, they will send you codes for the building, the elevator, and your room as there is no one on-site. Everything went tickedy-boo until we got to the room and the code wouldn't work and no one at the main office was answering our calls. It took us about an hour to reach someone who could help us. We were hot and sweaty after hours of walking so it was a bit frustrating. But all was well that ended well and when we finally reached someone, they were able to help us very quickly. Don't let this put you off staying here, however - we got over it quickly and enjoyed our stay immensely.

Just couple niggles…toilet areas very small and with poor fitting door. Shower door didn’t close as it looks like the hinge has dropped …likely easy fix. Curtain in living room has a ring missing therefore it doesn’t close properly

It was my second time at this hotel, I was there almost three years ago and it confirms itself as a great place to stay. The location is perfect in the old city of Lyon close to all attractions and the room I stayed was very comfortable.

Perfect!

Perfect location in the very heart of the old town. Exploring Lyon starts right at your doorstep, lots of restaurants only a few minutes away - some right across the street. Despite the central location very quiet, a lovely old building, beautifully decorated room, easy check-in and 24/7 support by telephone if needed. We'd come back any time and can recommend MiHôtel Tour Rose very strongly!

Warning do not stay at this hotel.

There is no reception, they call you for credit card details and then take money for “missing room fragrances” which they say were worth €80 each?!?!? After we left €211 euros was debited from our account without permission. This is the first bad review I have left after 20 years using booking.com

Fun decorated rooms in a great location in the old town

Quirky room with fun decoration

Quite a late check in time (5pm) although we were able to leave our bags at the office beforehand. Bedroom was very warm as was a mezzanine and the aircon in the bedroom did not work well to cool it down (and it wasn’t a hot couple of days when we were there)

Beautiful decor and brilliant location. It was a lovely room.

We did not like the concept of having no reception, or shared facilities. We did not like having no one to speak to. We could not find our coffee cups and searched for ages. We reluctantly rang the ‘Emergency’ number and she was very helpful and told us where they were (which was the most unlikely place!). I really wanted a bath but could not work out the plug, but did not feel it warranted another call to the ‘Emergency’ number. The cold boxed breakfast was as it good it could have been under the circumstances, but we prefer a hot breakfast. Our room was 3 times the amount of our friends (who also had a room the same night) and his room was just as nice as ours. Had we been staying at his price (EU120), we would have been delighted!

Great little apartment suitable for 2 couples in a great location

Excellent location - right in the heart of the old town. Slightly eccentric decor but a well equipped apartment suitable for 2 couples. Self check-in was straightforward and live not having to use a key. Comfortable bedding and a great shower. Staff very helpful and responsive.

The location and the property

The all digital booking and access system had a lot of problems. MiHotel Office staff were excellent in resolving issues. Booking.com needs to know to have ALL USA customers pay IN ADVANCE for this property, --- do not offer other options---. This is because collecting payment at arrival (or just prior) was a gargantuan pain in the ass!!!!!! Multiple online attempts, multiple emails, multiple phone calls.

Fantastic location in the heart of vieux Lyon

The location was perfect for us. A multitude of pleasant little restaurants within five minutes walk - a great bonus on cold winter nights. Also very convenient for Fourvière funicular and walking to other parts of the city. Very comfortable bed and good bathroom, and 2 chairs in bedroom. Warm and cosy at the end of January. Office staff responded very promptly to request for taxi on following day.

A number of small annoyances. No hooks for coats - we had to use those in the bathroom destined for towels. Couldn’t put coats in wardrobe as only 3 coat hangers for 2 people with clothes for 6 days! Shelves too high - I was unable to reach either the upper shelf in wardrobe or the one with plates and cups. Lights in sitting area very dim - I spent evenings sitting in the bathroom because that had better lighting. Quite a lot of chips in the paintwork - I imagine this is a problem with an apart’hotel where no one checks often enough on maintenance issues. We stayed for 6 days and got used to coping with these small points, because the location was so outstanding.

Good premise, poor execution

The location was perfect, this part of Lyon is very pleasant. The building is beautiful and quirky.

The room quality was poor. I booked mainly for the fireplace in the room which I managed to turn on once and then it stopped working for the rest of the duration of our stay. Paint was chipped in so many places, showing poor maintenance of the suite. Overall cleanliness was bad, dust and ring marks everywhere, hairs left in the sink, unpolished surfaces. Lightbulbs were blown making the suite dark and in some places too dark to see anything.

The room was very nice, good size.

No cars allowed on this street, so you have to drag your luggage down a cobblestone street for a block or so. No staff, so you have to grab a maid and use Google translate. I booked 3 nights, then added a day on the front end. Due to check out at 12 and checking at 5, we were locked out of our room from 12 to 5...

Spacious, a perfect place to relax and then jump into Vieux Lyon

I was apprehensive about the all digital check in and no keys but it was really easy and seamless. The room was clean, lots of space and functional. The shower was great (the option for a rain shower head and a normal shower head at the same time)!

The loft would always be hotter than the living area which would be super cold and we weren’t sure which aircon setting to use for just the loft.
