Friendly welcome in a lovely location. Comfortable stay.

Ambience, lights, openness. The two breakfast tables facing out of the window. Friendly staff. The jacuzzi bath 🛁

Upstairs bed in the room I was in not convenient. No shampoo on arrival in bottle in shower. My bath mat was removed on my second day and not replaced.

Location is in the city, the room is clean, the bathroom we stay in has a bit of crack so a bit safety hazard and toilet no toilet roll holder. Overall is value for money.

The breakfast is substandard for the value. The coffee and the breakfast around the areas much better.

The location is excellent, staff very friendly, breakfast was good. The best bread and croissants we have had this trip. Free still and sparkling water in the lobby was a nice touch

Great location to spend Bastille Day.

Fantastic location. Overlooking the river made the view stellar.

Very limited parking, so they weren't able to accommodate parking our motorcycle. Public parking a couple blocks away.

Great location, nice sized rooms, ours had a river view… so many great cafes, restaurants and bars close by and the staff were so good, nothing was too hard for them.

Excellent location, friendly staff, nice rooms with beautiful details

The location is excellent just in the corner of the old city. Our room had a view to the river Saône and it was spacious. At the reception was unlimited access to cold, fresh water (with or without gas) in enviromentally friendly reusable bottles. The breakfast was worth the money.

On the first morning some items in the breakfast buffet were already gone before nine (i.e. baquette, scrambled eggs). Otherwise the selection was wide and delicious.

We fell in love with all of Lyon

We loved the large deluxe twin room size with lovely views across from the river. Gorgeous large windows. Rooms were quiet and beds were super comfortable. Location was great. Staff were lovely.

The old style spa tub with shower curtain - would prefer a shower with screen to prevent water all over the floor.

Regret we couldn’t stay longer

You can’t beat this location, especially for the price. We only had one afternoon and evening in Lyon which we regretted after arriving and seeing how cool the city and our hotel was! The staff at Le Phénix try really hard to make your stay as nice as possible. The design, mixing minimal modernism with the historic architecture was spot on. Highly recommend!

The only thing I would fault is the price of breakfast, not just here but at all hotels for the most part. Way too expensive for what you get so we never purchase them, opting for a local coffeehouse usually.

A comfortable short stay.

The location of the hotel was very good for visiting the old town. It was also very close to the river so one could easily walk over to the other side. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in the area and pedestrian streets to walk around in. The room was a good size.

Brilliant location right in/beside the main old town - the basilica and church within walking distance too! Nice modern refurbishment to the interior of the hotel building - room was spacious, clean and had everything needed. Staff were so welcoming and friendly all the time!

Excited my expectations, great value for money.

It is perfectly located in a city center, on the river front, close to old town and all bars, restaurants and shops. It is very clean. Everything looks brand new and much better then on the pictures. The bed was super comfortable. Staff is helpful, friendly and speaks perfect English.
