A place to skip in lyon

The room is exceptionally small; if you are travelling with a companion or carrying substantial luggage, movement becomes decidedly difficult. It is advisable not to use the air conditioning, regardless of the room temperature. When switched on, it circulates visible dust and debris, raising understandable concerns about the condition of the hotel’s ventilation system (as illustrated in the photograph). As for practical amenities, there is no porter service and no assistance with luggage. Rooms are not conveniently located near the lift, requiring guests to carry their bags up stairs.

The locations was great, right in the old Lyon.

We had a family quite which was very large and had one and a half baths and was great We also had a regular double room which was very small. The showers had a bit of milddew

Fab Location

The location is fantastic for seeing the best of Lyon. Breakfasts are good and the rooms spacious enough and warm!!! This is a characterful and very pleasant place to stay with very nice staff.

Central, character boutique hotel

This charming 14th century hotel is centrally located in the old quarter of Lyon, and walking distance to many restaurants, cafes, shops etc. Our room was well fitted and kettle & Nespresso machine was appreciated - NO fridge.

We found our room quite small and cramped, and the shower room was also very "neat", but acceptable for an overnight stop - for a longer stay, it would be worth reserving a larger room. We booked partly because PRIVATE parking was confirmed, but on arrival, we were directed to a public multi-storey car park some distance from the hotel. It is not possible to drive to the front door of the hotel, although this of course meant the pedestrian area was quiet at night.

Tiniest room in lovely historic building in old Lyon

Fantastic location in Vieux Lyon, right in the middle of the super tourist area, close to many wonderful sites. Really cool old property that has been completely renovated.

The room was the smallest we have ever been in -smaller than Paris, NY, Tokyo, etc. It also was only reachable via several stairs from the elevator. Not a big deal but almost killed ourselves on step down into room that was not signaled. The tiny tiny closet that held the toilet and the other tiny closet that held the shower also had a very strong, unpleasant smell of asparagus or something similar.

the room was small but great quality of materials and design - little to no space to hang clothing, so everything needed to stay in our little suitcase (not a problem for us since we only stayed 2 days but could be a problem for longer stay). great location in the old part of the city with easy access on foot to the shopping/restaurant area

The building is beautiful and old with a tasteful renovation in a good location

Rooms are TINY! There’s not enough room for a couple to have two suitcases open at a time and the water pressure in the shower is terrible.

Staff were lovely, location was fantastic,on the edge of busy place but still quiet. Beautiful old building with thoughtful integration of hotel rooms

Room was very small, no fridge, housekeeping a bit hit &miss, I ended up with 3 bathrobes and 1 bath towel, access was challenging, while there is a lift, i still had to navigate several stone spiral steps , breakfast was by advance order only

Nice stay at interesting boutique hotel

It was nicely located, and a room was very comfortable. The bed was especially nice. We liked having large windows that would open.

They were very slow to respond to our questions about getting to the hotel prior to our arrival. Some of the people at the front desk were not especially helpful. however, Rose was a miracle worker. She went out of her way to help us.

The hotel has a great location and the rooms were very clean, but unfortunately, those were the only positive aspects of our stay

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. There was a strong, unpleasant odor coming from the pipes, making the bathroom very uncomfortable to use. The room had no natural light whatsoever, which made it feel quite gloomy. Staff interactions were unfriendly and unwelcoming. The only positive aspect was the central location.

This was a first for us we usually stay outside in a chateau we will definitely come back staff were really helpful definitely park across the road into the college hotel The car lift is an experience not to miss Fab location good shops and restaurants our light suite could have slept four it was beautiful fab lighting good kitchen two bathrooms a real gem in the centre of Lyon The breakfast was worth staying for three courses we will definitely go back

Great Location & Friendly

Friendly staff and very responsive. We received an excellent restaurant recommendation for dinner and the croissants they sent us with upon our early morning departure were the best we had on our trip. Was happy with how our concerns were addressed when I contacted them after our stay. The location was ideal - right in the heart of everything we wanted to see.

Our room was on the ground floor and I think we would have liked the rooms and had a better experience on the higher floors more.

The hotel is located in the center of the old town. The hotel is made as if you live in a tower, which is great. It is surrounded by restaurants and cafes, but the hotel is quiet and cozy. There are attractions near the hotel. The staff is polite and ready to help.

The room is very small. There was sewerage smell from the shower. There was no shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom, just a soap.

L'Académie Hotel Lyon : Amazing stay

The location in the Vieux Lyon is excellent to move around. The hotel itself just opened some months ago after whole refurbishment of an old college. The work that has been done is amazing. The rooms are chic without ostentation. The staff has been absolutely great. They took time every time we had questions. Our room was just amazing: spacious, practical and comfortable.

Perfect location, small but charming room, clean, nice English speaking stuff, nice bathtub, comfortable bed. Would definitely stay there again (but have breakfast elsewhere).

A szoba elfogadhatatlan. A wc olyan kicsi, hogy nem lehet elférni benne. A reggeli 21 eur-ért kritikán aluli. A recepció a reggeliztető és a szemét kihordást is itt teszik. Ez nem 4 csillag, ez egy autópálya melletti 2 csillag, de az tizede enbek az árnak. A szálloda autentikus, gyakorlatilag egy antik “irodaház” lett átalakítva. Az eredetéből kevés maradt, a lépcsőt leszámítva. Ha nyagy bőröndel érkezel, nagyon kellenetlen.

Unser Zimmer war, entsprechend dem Alter des Gebäudes, sehr eng. Für Menschen mit eingeschränkter Bewegungsfähigkeit geht das nicht.
