Stunning hotel, amazingly helpful staff and close to everything by foot, if you are able to do stairs
It was hard to lower the room temperature

Extraordinary location, in an historical convent, perfectly maintained. Courtesy of the staff is far above any expection. At the arrival since our room was not ready we were upgraded to a suite. The furniture in the common areas of the hotel is extraordinary and make this luxury location an amazing experience. The heated pool with the stunning view over Lyon is top.
Everything perfect …… we just regret that the Michelin star restaurant was fully booked, but the room service we got was an additional great experience

We were cheerfully told that our room had a private garden that would be great for our dogs. It was. The room was designed to accommodate mobility impaired persons and designed in that regard (WC was in a weird place), was not as warm and welcoming as the room from our previous stay. Think lots of ceramic tile on the floors and no rugs. All the decor, curtains, bedding, everything, was dated (staff said they were due for a renovation). Because it was on a sub ground floor, we had no views and we were slightly above parking level (parking and cleaning staff was exceptional). Street noise was loud, and did I mention zero views (our last stay, with the 2 dogs, had amazing views)?

Unique place. Beautiful views. Room was very comfortable.
The levels were a bit hard to figure out. Wish there were a stall shower in the room; hard to get in and out of a bathtub to shower — can be slippery.

Amazing view and swimming pool. Definitely if you want to take all from the city and have just one day I highly recommended this hotel. The view is absolutely best

We were provided a very friendly greeting by staff and welcomed with a glass of champagne. The room was faultless and perfectly cleaned. Location is ideal; away from the busy tourist area but still a short walk to key locations.
Main restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday night and the room service menu was limited, although the food was able to be served in a lovely lounge area.

One of the loveliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. A beautiful location on Fourviere overlooking Lyon. Everyone of the staff was warm and friendly. The breakfasts were very nice and dinner in the gourmet restaurant was amazing.

Amazing old Place converted into a Hotel with great views of the city. The Pool Was exceptional, as was the surrounding pool area, with Bar service a nice touch. Great to be able to sit and watch a slow sunset. Close to Old Town and Heritage area. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
I thought for the room rate, breakfast should be included. Even if they offered basic coffee and a Croissant. If they had done that we may have been tempted to upgrade to full breakfast.
Could have offered Complimentary Drink by Pool upon arrival

Absolutely stunning hotel with incredible service. The staff could not be faulted and couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious with a wide choice and the pool made the stay absolute perfection.
It’s at the top of a very big hill. Which in 35 degree heat was sometimes a challenge

We were warmly greeted on arrival and our luggage taken care off. A drink was served before being shown to our Junior Suite which was a wonderful generous sized corner room with windows facing east and south so spectacular expansive views for miles across the city to the mountains. Took full advantage of this with room service the first evening. A short corridor led to the bathroom which also was filled with light and a shower that also afforded views across the city. Loved the soft towels. Breakfast on the terrace was a treat and delicious; Clea was a delight. The staff were attentive, especially Assistant Manager Anne and Kevin and made for a most relaxing and memorable stay. Thank you.

The service at Villa Florentine was superb! The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. They seemed to be genuinely proud of the history of the property. Our room had a balcony with a great view, overlooking the pool and the city of Lyon. We enjoyed a lovely room service breakfast on our balcony. Their restaurant for dinner is top notch! The location is perfect , a short walk to the old city center.

Beautiful. Best hotel in the city.
It's a European thing, but showers that close/or have curtains or something would be nice. It gets spalshy and cold otherwise.

The grounds were lovely
The rooms were awful. While large, they were totally lacking in any charm or character. In fact they reminded me of a dorm room before a student decorates it. The public areas have been redone but are so ugly. We left and went to another hotel that was absolutely go for $200/night less.

Stunning hotel, great mix of history and modernisation. The views across the city are unforgettable. Anne and her team were friendly, kind and attentive. I’ve never been made to feel so welcome in such a genuine way.

The room has two floors. There is a table below the stairs. If you stand up you may hit your head. There was a foam protection. Unfortunately it was not had been well maintained. I hit my head. The hotel only gave me a bandaid and next day said that they would not fix it because they didn’t have that foam in inventory and the procurement has to buy it.
The employee responsible for the breakfast was there only asked us the room number and the type of coffee we wanted. He hadn’t asked any time if we wanted eggs or pancakes or…
The air-conditioner is fixed to warmer and 25 degrees celsius… we could only to ask to decrease the temperature 3 degrees but it didn’t work. The room was extremely hot.

Everything about the hotel was excellent
The staff were beyond description. They strove to serve us in every way and succeeded.
The vistas in every direction were wonderful.
The nearby eateries (to see and mix with the locals) are a considerable walk but we walked nonetheless and enjoyed the walk.

The room sizes were fantastic - especially for Europe. The staff was incredibly friendly and they went out of their way to keep the property spotless and smelling good.
The location can be a challenge for anyone who struggles walking up and down hills or stairs. We absolutely loved the location - but there were a couple in our party that chose to stay at the hotel rather than explore the city because of the hills/stairs.

The staff were very polite and willing to help in any way possible. Reminded me of the Ritz Carlton
The location was difficult to access. To go to town you had to walk down very steep stairs and a hundred of them.
Back up was worse. No public transportation would get you close to the hotel. Getting a taxi or Uber was our only method of getting to and from town to the hotel. So if you want to go out for dinner, add another 40.00 to the cost of the meal. For the ,money charged per night they should offer a car service up and down the hill for the guests.

The villa felt like home. We could have stayed a month, we were so happy there. Especially loved the pool and jacuzzi, but overall, the atmosphere was so charming and relaxing. The concierge called for a taxi when we'd been left without one. Can't wait to stay there again.
