Perfect 24+ hours in Lyon

I would like to thank the host, Agnes for a flexibility with checking in. As per our stay, we came to Lyon to enjoy food and this was a perfect location to be based in. It was easy to find and convenient for us because we used sustainable trains and public transport. We enjoyed an evening walk along the river. The next day, it was easy for us to visit places we wanted before we had to leave Lyon. As per room, it was just perfect for us. We wanted space and comfort. In addition, extra little details made our stay enjoyable (for example, basic selection of cold and hot drinks that we both liked, decor)

Lovely apartment in historic building in excellent location.

The location was perfect. We walked everywhere and, the few times we took the metro, the metro stop was close by. The apartment is eclectic and charming and our room was very comfortable. We relaxed in the shared living room a few times and it was a great space to unwind. The high ceilings were quite amazing. Our host was there to answer questions and guide us toward restaurants. Little touches like great tea made it special.

Second stay and will return again if in Lyon

Perfect again. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding are sparkling white and crisp. Everything feels fresh and clean. Location is wonderful, close to Metro with supermarkets, bakeries and chocolate shops just minutes away. And Madam Agnès is accommodating and thoughtful.

Lyon is very expensive so this little guesthouse was good value.

Fabulous high ceilings in bedroom of the owners apartment. Eclectic decor with a lot of effort put in. The area is 2nd Aron so more of a locals living there area and definitely not tourist. A few restaurants around. We had lovely tapas at Dandelion cafe nearby. Bed was comfy and shower was good.

I would have preferred a kettle and tea station in the room than what was offered outside in the hallway. We always travel with our own tea and coffee and not a fan of coffee makers.

Comfortable and well located stay!

My husband and I liked everything from the communications before arrival, to the welcome and our stay. The big and well decorated room was exactly how I had seen it on the photos. The lady owner recommended us where to eat for lunch, and made a dinner reservation at our request. Merci beaucoup!

Full of charm, perfectly located near Old Town, and made special by Agnès’ warm hospitality.

A true gem in the heart of Lyon. The building has so much charm with high ceilings, big windows, and elegant 19th-century details, yet the rooms are spotless and comfortably modern. The location is ideal: just steps from shops, cafés, and the Old Town, where you can wander through the traboules, admire the architecture and visit landmarks like Saint-Jean Cathedral and the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière. Most of all, Agnès is a wonderful host: warm and welcoming. She clearly puts great care into every detail, which makes the stay memorable. Highly recommended!

A class act, we could have stayed longer

Agnes was warm & welcoming, our room was large and tastefully decorated befitting a beautiful old building. We also had access to a lovely lounge area and we really appreciated the Nespresso coffee! We felt very secure in this apartment. The location was perfect. It was easy to walk to the old town, river & many tourist attractions whilst being in a lovely quiet area. We would not hesitate to stay again & recommend to all.

Warm welcome from the host and prompt reply and communications always. Walking distance to many landmarks and the old town. Central location yet very private and quiet during night. The room is spacious. I only stayed 1 x night and wish I can stay a few more days next time

Perfect base to explore Lyon with wonderful hosts

Fabulous from start to finish. Such a spacious beautifully decorated room - very quiet and in a fantastic location for exploring Lyon. Hosts were so helpful and accommodating with flexible check-in and helping us with taxis to station and restaurant recommendations. Cannot recommend highly enough - thanks to our hosts for a wonderful stay - would love to come back one day !

A gem of a room with a special host.

Everything was lovely. It’s such a beautiful old home. We loved the very high ceilings, old world charm and fantastic hostess who also has a wonderful, quirky sense of design which filled the space and made our room feel very special.

The lighting in the bathroom could use some improvement especially if you’re trying to apply makeup or shave.

Very large room with ensuite bathroom.

Our stay was wonderful in this room in an apartment of an old building. The apartment is shared by the owner and one other possible renter. The whole place is very stylishly decorated and the owner is very accommodating and friendly. There is no kitchen facility but there is a free Nespresso machine. Our room was very large with a very large comfortable bed. It's very secure and close to the Vieux Ville. We walked everywhere. I would definitely stay again.

Agnes's home ranks among the best (maybe THE best) places we have ever stayed.

The location was exceptional. Agnes's home is about an easy 2-block walk to cafes, restaurants, gift shops, park (fantastic for soaking up the loveliness of Lyon, and PEOPLE WATCHING!!!) . The room itself is much more than a room, it's huge with ensuite bath. Agnes has a fantastic decorating style, very chic and elegant with an emphasis on comfort. There is also an adjoining living area that we were welcome to use (shared with Agnes and family), but our room was so large and comfy that we mostly stayed in there. Honestly I have nothing but great things to say about our whole experience at Agnes's home. We would ABSOLUTELY return for a future stay. Hopefully we can do just that. Many thanks, Agnes!

Spacious, well located place

Located in the Presquile, between the 2 rivers, this apartment has an excellent location, with Vieux Lyon about a kilometer away in one direction and the more contemporary shopping areas about 10 minutes in the other. The apartment itself is lovely- spacious, well furnished with plenty of space and a comfortable good-sized bed Agnes, the owner, stays in the same apartment but you have all the privacy you want There is a common area with tea and coffee making facilities as well

It was a very unusual space but quite large, very attractive and comfortable. The host was very friendly and accommodating. She had good recommendations for food and shopping and helpful information regarding transportation to our train station. Would definitely return there to stay if we were back in that area.

Deco chic luxury B&B in best area in Lyon 💖

Everything was more than up to my expectations. Fantastic historical place in a very stylish accomodation. The room is quite spacious and there is another stunning shared living room area. The entire place is hugely tastefully decorated to the detail. Bed was very confortable plus bedroom very quiet. It is located in the best neighborhood in Lyon, walking distant from many historical buildings and great restaurants. The host Agnes plus her husband were very nice and kind, giving me useful tips about best places to visit. Definable coming back again in next visits to lovely Lyon
