The hotel is in a great location: quiet (occasional church bells, which we loved), within walking distance of Place Bellecour and points north, and Perrache (good for trams). The metro is three minutes walk. The breakfast buffet is good, and we liked the small lounge downstairs. The staff are very friendly and professional with it. The rooms are comfortable.
The shower room was our only 'problem'. The shower's great, but the lighting is poor, inadequate over the basin/mirror. Also, wet shaving with no plug in the basin, and a tap right in the middle, is far from ideal.

Very quiet location not in the main throng.
Not much space to hang around the hotel. A restaurant takes up a lot of room and a bar. That could be more of a library.
