Exceptional Care and Dedication

Honestly, I almost don’t want to write a review about this place — simply because this hotel is one of the most beautiful and comfortable hotels in Bali. We would honestly prefer to keep this place to ourselves. :p The rooms are spacious, the food is excellent, and the staff is highly professional and dedicated. It’s great to see how the team is continuously working on improvements. We would like to thank Team Balquisse Heritage for the wonderful experience. We ended up here because another booking went completely wrong, but this hotel made up for everything. The extra care and the multiple daily room services truly took all worries off our shoulders and gave us a deeply relaxed feeling. Thank you again, hope to see you again soon.

Luxury meets romance

This place is absolutely STUNNING. It’s old world romantic meets tropical paradise. The service was second to none. Food always incredible from breakfast to high tea! The rooms felt luxurious.

Exceptional luxury property, an absolute dream !

Exceptional vintage luxury property, this was our favorite place in Bali. A peaceful oasis just off the main road, and only a few minutes from the beach. Absolutely stunning design and attention to detail, it was like living in a movie or in AD. Very large rooms, with balconies or patios, huge bathrooms. Plenty of privacy, but also opportunities to share travel tips with other guests. 3 beautiful pools in fabulous gardens. How to resolve the conflict of lingering in this paradise, or exploring the island ?! A nice problem to have. Only wished we could have stayed longer.

A Special Retreat

I loved everything about this property and can't believe I'd not heard of it. The grounds are lovely, the rooms comfort and unique, coupled with amazing staff and beautiful afternoon tea and breakfast options. The vintage cars that they take you to the beach in and not to mention the option of a free yoga class each day. Their restaurant a very short walk from the hotel was well worth a visit. Food and decor were great. I would definitely return.

Absolutely stunning accommodation. Loved it would highly recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, the ambiance and decor was perfect. Beautifully styled in every area. The breakfast was outstanding, so much choice, all made to order. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pools were lovely. Spa was bliss we had massages that were great and a very good price. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic!

I cannot recommend this beautiful hotel more highly. A hidden gem! Once you walk through the entrance you are transported into a different world. Beautiful, peaceful and staff that are simply delightful. Do not hesitate in booking a stay here!! Loved every minute and wish we had stayed longer!!

Bliss

From the moment you enter the property it feels like you’re in another world. The green open space, gorgeous vintage decor, and quietness of this hotel feels private and peaceful. Our room was BEAUTIFUL, with everything we needed to have a comfortable, luxurious stay. The room was big but the AC still managed to keep it nice and cold! Yummy breakfast, restaurant with great range of options, and tasty cocktails. We will definitely return, one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at!

Wonderful property presented in a very different yet beautiful style in Bali

The little teak hut where I stayed is just wonderful. No need to say more. Breakfast choices are diverse, healthy and creative - very nicely thought through. A variety of pools available.

My bathroom had problems with hot water. Fortunately I could use another bathroom of the adjacent teak hut

Wow! Such an awesome experience for a reset

Wow! Loved everything. Such an awesome experience for a reset. We booked the teak house. Perfect. Staff - perfect. Shout out to Koming, Daiu, Rachel. The gardens and grounds were amazing so tranquil and so spacious. We felt very privileged to stay here. Thank you.

The most beautiful furnishings and grounds

Having 3 pools meant you always had some privacy and the sunloungers were so comfortable. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and the furnishings and quality were amazing. Breakfast was very very good. The grounds were immaculate and beautifully designed.

There was construction going on which we were not told about. It really ruined the peaceful tranquility and when you pay a lot of money for that its important to have. Lots of banging, welding and staff/workers were talking very loud. We had a villa above us and the people were noisy and moving furniture around (instagrammers!!) A mattress topper on the mattress would have made the bed perfect (a bit firm) but the linen was beautiful and soft. Check in was a little awkward. We were grilled about our payment and asked to prove we had paid when it had been done months earlier at time we booked. We were not told about where the restaurant was, time for breakfast, afternoon tea procedure, pool and yoga location etc Also had to ask for our passports back. You wouldnt want a room near the kitchen as the staff were really loud. Bit more quiet everywhere would have been nicer and more appropriate

Very unique property which almost feels like a private viewer rather than a hotel

It’s our second stay in Balquisse. It’s a very unique property with the old colonial charm, fantastic breakfast, very unique rooms,great pools and very helpful staff

We had some noisy guests in the room next door who made a bit of noise in the middle of the night however that was not staff’s fault so I can’t blame it on the hotel

Splurge worthy stay, which begs for pictures to be taken constantly !!!

The gorgeous architecture , linens, Balinese sculptures and touches everywhere , lovely toiletries , luxuriously soft towels , amazing staff

It’s expanding rapidly which unfortunately , makes it lose a little bit of the intimate experience it once had . We lost power for 5 hours before check out , which was not the fault of hotel , but Because of the dark and moody interiors you could not see in the bathrooms . Which made you not be able to get ready to leave . They should invest in a generator

Picture perfect place to stay

Absolutely gorgeous place - beautiful rooms with lovely vintage furnishings and comfortable beds, several pools, yoga classes every morning in a stunning purpose-built shala, and terrific food. The staff in particular are wonderful. It's a short walk to the beach or you can get a lift in a very cool old vintage Volkswagon. And there are sensational seafood restaurants along the beach.

There was a wedding on when we were there so that took up a whole area that the rest of us couldn't use - I don't know how often that happens but you might like to check when you book. We were given a massage in the day spa as compensation which was very kind.

Words can not adequately portray our appreciation for the opportunity to visit.

The creativity and charismatic effort that has gone into creating a privileged experience is nothing short of incredible. The seemingly painless renovations and innovative touches have to be seen to be believed. The landscaping was a treasure and it is hard to held that one is only a stones throw from the noise and hubbub of Jimbaran. An absolute gem!

Unique, memorable hotel stay

There was a real feeling of calm and serenity while relaxing in the hotel grounds. Lots of spaces to sit and relax in your own space.

There were lots of aspects that looked nice but weren’t very functional. Like the door to the bathroom being a lovely reclaimed wooden door, but thin as a sheet of paper.

Truly a boutique experience

We stayed at Balquisse Heritage Hotel for two nights. Overall, it was an okay experience. The property itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful architecture and decor that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a different era. It’s a very romantic and peaceful place with a lovely atmosphere, perfect for couples looking to unwind. The staff were wonderful, very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The food was exceptional, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The pool area and gardens were also gorgeous and very well maintained, adding to the relaxing feel of the hotel. It’s a charming boutique hotel that truly shines in its design, food, and service.

A haven of peace.

It was a wonderful week! We spent more than two weeks in Bali, but it was here that I truly met my Bali. The staff, the room, the location, the atmosphere – all were amazing! I received a birthday greeting – it was a special evening!

There was a group of women staying at the same time as us – that’s totally fine, but they used to have breakfast very early and quite loudly right outside our room window. It wasn’t a big issue, but it did disturb us a couple of mornings. I regret not trying yoga – I got scared. I’ve never done it before, really wanted to give it a go, but just couldn’t bring myself to do it. A small detail – we used the beach transfer and arranged for a pickup, but… we were forgotten. It wasn’t far though – we walked!

Beautiful

The hotel is stunning and impeccably put together (although some of the maintenance needed could also be described as shabby chic!). Nice couches to lounge on by the pool, and helpful having a bike rental place near the front. We had breakfast and afternoon tea included, and both were very generous offerings! Staff were very warm, friendly and helpful. Overall, a great stay!

We were given an upgrade to our room, which was right next to the pool. Although a really lovely gesture, the room lacked privacy and peace and quiet. I’m not sure which room we were upgraded from, but we did consider asking for a different room to have more privacy. The power was out for about 5 hours one day we were there, which we knew isn’t uncommon in Bali, but we were surprised they didn’t have their own generator.

A lovely, quiet, very tasteful oasis - Close to the airport

Lovely place; we stayed there 7 years ago and we were happy to come back again. There are two swimming pools on the premises, you will get afternoon tea every day. The rooms are truly beautiful, the pictures don't lie. The staff arranges performances, movie nights, etc to keep things interesting. The impressions is that they really care about the well-being of the guests. We got a little gift when they learned we had been there before, very thoughtful. Nearby, you will find the mile-long Jimbaran Beach, with beach restaurants, bars and truly gorgeous sunsets. No-fly zone for drones, sorry. The beach shuttle was a really cool VW 181 ("Kübelwagen"), thanks for the ride!

There seemed to be a slight problem with dampness / moisture in the room. Maybe owing to the fact that we were on a low ground floor, maybe because the wall behind the building kept air and sun away. That wall could also have been decorated / camouflaged / hidden a little better...

I had a truly enjoyable holiday — the yoga class was wonderful, and I would definitely come back again.

The hotel has an outstanding sense of design, making me feel as if I were staying in a French manor. Both the spa and the afternoon tea were absolutely perfect, offering a truly relaxing experience. The open kitchen was also very convenient and added a homely touch. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Areas for Improvement My room was located next to a staff passageway, so without the curtains drawn, it was easy to see employees frequently walking by, which affected the sense of privacy. In addition, there were quite a lot of ants in the room, which made the stay less comfortable.

Well this is maybe the best hotel we have ever experienced. Everything is amazing. This place has more than views, staff and facilities. The place has such a vibe - the moment you enter the door of the hotel you have a certain amazing feeling. We were not a fan of Jimbaran but we will come back there only for thia hotel. It is abaolutely amazing.

Overpriced for what it is.

This hotel is very much asthenic over function. It looks great in photos but in reality there are many issues with the property for the price. It’s taking the shabby chic too far. The dinner was fine but the breakfast took forever just to get a coffee and came in a cup with no handle so you had to burn your fingers to drink it!

It’s not near anything (you’d be better off staying in the intercontinental over the road which has access to a beach and far better value - we moved there!) the open shower in the middle of the bedroom room making the bathroom floor slippery. Ants everywhere in the room. Reception staff seem miserable.

Shik experience

Every detail in place. Focused on antiquities, all carefully chosen/designed. Big property with few pools and yoga house. 10min walk to the beach. Staff is helpful and helped us changing rooms when first day and night we were visited by couple big cockroaches ( I am sure this is just bad luck as there so much vegetation and humidity around). The hotel provides beach bag, towels and even hats that was super nice. Breakfast is abundant. Tip : same owner has (a second) restaurant 2min walking to the hotel that serves very tasty food

in the second room the shower was literally in the middle of the bathroom, so anytime you needed to go to the toilet you need to walk through wet floor. It is one thing something to look cool it is another to be actually functional and comfortable. Not particularly exciting location in the city , you need transportation if you want to see anything. Not related to the hotel but the tours and rental guy next to the hotel is very opportunistic and expensive.
