Walking into this beautiful hotel, you are immediately transported into a wonderland! The grounds are magical, beautifully designed with historic pieces woven in from another era! You cannot help but fall in love with its charm!! The room was stunning, the food was sublime and the staff at the restaurant particularly attentive - they never failed to bring their love and connection into their service which brought so much warmth and enjoyment into our stay - Amik, Komina, Dayu, Krishna and Jonathan!! You felt like family and we cannot wait to see your beautiful smiling faces again!! Thank you Balquisse for our sublime stay!!!!

My adult daughter and I stayed one night as she had a very early flight the next morning. It's a beautiful hotel with great staff in the dining area, but...When I was checking in, I asked the young woman on reception to book a return boat trip for me to the Gili Islands. She said she didn't know how to do it and for me to do it myself. Ok. I did. I also booked a taxi for my adult daughter to the airport, to leave at 5am. This included discussions about a boxed breakfast. The taxi turned up but there wasn't anyone on reception. The place was in complete darkness. There wasn't any breakfast. It wasn't acceptable as they advertise 24 hour reception. They could have at least left a light on for her! I did tell reception when we left and the gentleman did apologise but ..not really enough. Too much forgotten or not attended to. I wrote to the hotel afterwards, but never received a response. It's an expensive hotel but reception needs to be better trained.

This hotel is really beautiful and lovely. Staff are very helpful, polite. I'm grateful to manager on the receptionist desk who helped me a lot and her understanding. The food all so delicious, healthy. The portions are not big, but quite enough. Bed in room is comfortable. Just the organization inside room little but strange: TV is not opposite of bad. They have Netflix, but need to pay of that (for this price of hotel I think strange about extra charge of netflix). In the bathroom they not provide: toothbrush and toothpaste (they said this only by requesting), no have cotton buds, no have comb (at least simple comb). So in bathroom only shampoo and gel for shower...that's sooo strange for that kind of money wich you pay for 1 night. Also surprised for me was is extra charge if you plan photoshoot there. Doesn't matter you order one night there or not - you must a pay... But hotel looks really very lovely..
