rooms were very clean, beautiful garden grounds, great facilities and layout, great kids club, nice staff, good food options, nice big beach. gym and spa very good. kids loved the wildlife
the area outside our room was very dirty, the pavement all dirty and stained. it looked like it was just our area that was like this. also, I was gifted a club lounge access for my birthday to be used on my world of hyatt account, but when we arrived we were told as we booked through booking.com we were not able to use the gift which was disappointing. Also the nights did not qualify for my membership as booked through booking.com. Would have been helpful to know this earlier or have some flexibility at least on the lounge access.
the beach by the hotel is not nusa dua beach, it is mushroom beach and is not as good for swimming as the nusa dua beach further up the coast and more for surfers, though good facilities and price made up for it.

Well kept property with beautiful facilities
Could have more activities for kids and adults. If there were it wasn’t advertised properly.

The location was great. It was nice and peaceful. The beach was beautiful.
We had 2 adults, 2 children. The hotel room we stayed in was a great size.
It was a little expensive. We didn’t have for all inclusive and have major regrets that we didn’t. We spent way more than we needed to.

We had a lovely short stay at the Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua. The staff were outstanding—extremely attentive and responsive, with requests handled within minutes. The facilities are beautiful, with stunning gardens, a fabulous pool, and a spacious, quiet, and peaceful room.
The location is very convenient, close to Bali Collection and with easy access to the airport. Although we only stayed one night, we would definitely return.
There was a planned power cut for several hours during our stay, and some form of compensation or acknowledgment would have been appreciated.

Great amenities, nice pool, location and food was decent.
The room had a musty smell

service by staff was superb. the property has everything you need all in one location. plenty of variety for breakfast. In fact breakfast was outstanding.
the queues at breakfast time gave us a bad experience and not a great start to the day. the hotel should manage that better. i wish someone had told us about the hotel amenities and the free activities when we arrived. unfortunately we only found out ourselves by walking around and by that time our stay was over. generally i had higher expectations from this hotel. it was fine but certainly lacked in some areas. We felt like 'just another guest' as opposed to a special guest. The rooms are dated and I would not stay here again unless I was closer to the beach. Standard rooms are all at the back of the hotel.

The vibe, atmosphere and landscape are astonishing. It feels serene, authentic (doesn’t loose the traditional feels with too glamorous/modern)
The hair dryer. I know this hotel is rather old (which I love the charm, but…) and during the old days hair dryer maybe expensive that people may steal them? I don’t know what’s the reason but the fact that they have the hair dryer permanently attached to the electrical outlet inside the drawer. And the cable was tensioned to the point that you have to use your muscle and strength to pull it high enough to hair dry your hair. To add insult to injury, the hairdryer is the same type like the cheap one….. I really wish they invest this small amount to change this. Bali is humid and hair dryer is essential for anyone with longer hair over the ear

Breakfast was amazing, the beach was beautiful and the room was lovely overlooking the garden.

Beautiful private beach. Water was great for swimming. Top class facilities. My kids loved the teens club and kids club. Great gym with spacious shower and changing room and with onsen and private pool. Diverse dining options including Asian, Western and Middle Eastern. Our sea-facing room was comfortable and spacious. We'll definitely want to go back again.
There was nothing to not like!

I like that there are 4 different restaurants to choose from for breakfast.
I loved the garden and the pool.
Food was expensive. Our room was just too far from the beach and pool. But we could always call for buggy to take us.

Location and amenities where kids had so many options to enjoy either the pool or beach or kids club
Quality of the breakfast buffet was noticeable with so many fresh options and a fresh coffee station
Rooms needs a bit renovation to maintain the high quality

The rooms are very dated, check in was an hour late and the sheets were damp - we got them to change it during the night.

Location and staff are awesome
Door battery is flat will not open when checking in. Next morning lots of noise from maintenance next door. So moved to 5th floor. the bed is old and shagged out which gives you back pain. The pillows were stinky disgusting.

A beautiful property with multiple options for dining, swimming and relaxing, without too many others in your space. Exceptional staff, location and cleanliness.

Resort had so much to offer. Great pools, lots of dining choices, huge gym, cold plunge pool, places to have a cocktail. Close to Bali Collection. Can't say enough good things.
Really nothing. Only thing I was a bit surprised is all resorts we stayed at had a person who greeted us, gave us a fresh towel and welcome drink. At the Hyatt this was "self serve".

The staff were all courteous and polite
The staff could not help when we had an issue with our booking and then following that, a promise of the hotel manager or equivalent contacting us to discuss the issue did not occur which only further exacerbated the situation as it related to our request to a pro rata refund and move from the accommodation.

The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Special mention to Santa and the team at the pool bar who provided excellent service and really looked after us. The breakfast offered plenty of variety with attentive staff regularly offering tea and coffee refills.
The setting is stunning – the ponds and lakes create a wonderfully spacious, tranquil atmosphere and there were lots of koi, fish and birds to be seen. We appreciated the convenience of complimentary pool towels and the on-site shops and stalls, which came in handy during our stay.
Our rooms were conveniently located near each other, separated only by a central stairwell, and we made good use of the gym facilities for getting ready to go home on the last day.
On our first night, an 'intruder with a weapon' alarm sounded for approximately 30 seconds. No announcement was made, and we had to ring reception ourselves to find out it was a glitch. This understandably frightened the children, who didn't feel safe for the rest of our stay, resulting in us parents sleeping separately between rooms. When I raised this serious issue via Booking.com, there was no real acknowledgment or offer of compensation.
The dining experience was disappointing for a 5-star resort. We had to book both dinner slots in advance for our 2-night stay, which resulted in late 8-8:30pm seatings. The food felt very overpriced – for example, my daughter's red snapper cost 200+ Rupiah and arrived as simply a piece of fish with a small amount of sauce and vegetables and a swirl of sauce - no sides or potatoes included which then felt lacking.
Overall, the resort lacked the attentive, elevated service we expected from a 5-star property and our final destination. Having stayed at another resort beforehand where staff went above and beyond to be helpful, this felt impersonal by comparison. As a family of five, we also felt like an inconvenience when requesting table adjustments at dinner where we either had to wait to be seated or re-arrange tables to suit. This resort might suit travelers who want everything structured and organised in advance, but for families seeking a warm, personalised, attentive experience, it fell short of expectations.

Not a lot
got bed bugs, the place is so dated, smells like mould, terrible food and drinks.

The facilities- the pools and slides were amazing. The kids club had many different activities for the kids and my children asked to go (we didn’t even think to offer it to them). Breakfast was delicious and the rooms were extremely spacious and clean.
The room we were assigned to was quite far back from many facilities. This meant we had to walk quite a bit to get anywhere and couldn’t just pop back to the room easily. This normally wouldn’t bother us, but can be a bit hard with children. However I understand the more expensive rooms are obviously closer to the facilities.

Nothing! It was exceptional

If you are family with kids and do not want to stay out of the hotel and see the real Bali, it is a good choice. The food at the restaurants were nice and we really did not have any issues with sunbeds etc. Breakfast was also good. They also gave us a birthday cake and helped with changing the dates so thanks for that.
For this price, there are hundreds of better places in Ubud with more local vibes. The sea is only swimmable for limited hours other times it is extremely shallow. No entertainment. The room service was expensive and it came uncooked -photo of the portions. Check in was a bit of chaos and we had to wait for our room after the check in time (90min)

Clean and beautiful surroundings. Well maintained gardens with beautiful views from every angle.

Despite the hotel being dated and densely built, its expansive grounds prevents it from feeling cramped and claustrophobic.
It has 4 restaurants to choose from for breakfast which divides the crowd making it less congested.
A lot of activities for children.
It’s dated. Probably time to do some refurbishment.
