The best hotel experience we have ever had anywhere in the world

This was simply beyond what we could have ever imagined. We just wanted a quick getaway from Australia and booked this resort 7 hrs before we arrived! We didn’t realise how lucky we were! From the minute we pulled up to the gorgeous entrance, we were treated to world class service and opulence. The divine smell, the authentic well natured staff, the care for our wellbeing - it was all just other worldly. The breakfast was the most relaxing, joyous experience. I had never imagined the resort to have lactose free milk but they did and each morning they remembered me and without me even promoting, brought over my order. The fresh fruits and international dishes were delicious. We didn’t want for anything and were spoilt by Shintya and Nova every morning! The pools and the grounds were breathtaking. Genuinely out of this world. The landscaping and established gardens made you feel like there were no other people in the resort. And the pools (yes… plural!) were beautifully kept and clean. We hired a cabana for two days and were served drinking water and fresh fruit. Such a lovely touch. And for a birthday celebration we hired a bed right by the pool in front of the ocean at Kul Kul bar at the beachfront of the resort. That day was just amazing. The service and care for us was next level. We would highly recommend! Finally, we want to comment on the little things. Every staff member (without fail!) greeted us. When we braved testing our basic Balinese key phrases, every staff member chuckled along and engaged in a chat. Every staff member we saw took pride in working at the resort. From the staff in the souvenir shop to the pool cleaners, there was a quiet, purposeful calm and we were so wowed by their care for their resort. We absolutely don’t say this lightly, but this was without a doubt the best hotel experience we have ever had, anywhere in the world.

Highly Recommended, but choose the timing of the visit wisely.

Service throughout the hotel is very friendly, polite and attentive. A few staff members have limited English, so you may occasionally need to repeat or rephrase a request. But once they understand, they genuinely go out of their way to help — often beyond expectations. The Beach Bar service is a delight. You are looked after directly on the private beach with comfortable loungers, shade, and fresh towels, and everything can be charged to your room, making it easy to settle in and stay there for hours. A local Water Sports Company can pick you up/drop you off on a boat for free from the beach. Jet Ski is a must! Breakfast offers a very wide selection with beautiful presentation, very much what you expect from a five-star property. The taste is good and enjoyable, though not quite at the level of a truly memorable breakfast.

Like many properties in tropical climates, the room had a slight musty smell. Leading to the Lunar New Year period the hotel decorated some public areas in a strongly themed Chinese festive style. While Lunar New Year is celebrated across many cultures, the resort’s approach felt very specifically targeted and changed the character of the property, taking away from the Balinese atmosphere which we love and enjoy. We also encountered quite a bit of noise from other guests during this time, which affected the otherwise relaxing environment.

Truly exceptional service, you really made my birthday special

Fantastic, the staff work really hard every day to keep the place in excellent condition. The pools are crystal clean, and staff so helpful and caring. They made a huge effort for my special birthday which means a lot when you’re travelling alone. From the moment I arrived I felt like someone very important.

Nothing, maybe food and drink prices a little expensive but that’s all!

My go to place in Nusa Dua

Great location and amazing staff—everyone I met was incredibly helpful, polite, professional, and friendly. My room was spotless and had everything I needed. Room service was excellent, with a very quick response whenever I needed anything. This will definitely be my go-to place on my next visit to Nusa Dua!

Everything worked perfectly—just a small suggestion to consider making the spa facilities, particularly the steam room, more spacious and perhaps adding some essential oils.

Nice, great service but overpriced.

Good service, good restaurants, good facilities. A bit overpriced but a nice place all round.

We waited 45 minutes for our room to be ready upon arrival and it wasn’t the cleanest but it was rectified promptly and the staff were great.

Beautiful staff; overpriced rooms

Loved the 'lagoon' access from my room, the water was lovely to swim in. The spa facilities were luxurious. The buffet breakfast was generous and the restaurants had delicious a la carte options.

The room was very small for the price (more than $800/night) and did not have a bathtub. I was expecting a lot more. There were also very few facilities for my children - it is more of a 'wellness' hotel rather than a family friendly hotel imo, it would have been nice to stay here just my husband and I

Luxury personified

The resort is next level comfort, the staff go above and beyond and are extremely friendly. Would happily stay for longer next time. I had mentioned my birthday and in my room on arrival was balloons, birthday cake and welcome, happy birthday message, and extra special touch.

The resort offers 24 hr in room dining which is great when you need it, not so much fun when you hear trollies and door bells ringing through the night. There were people in pool, directly outside my window at 3am which I appreciate is difficult to manage but I found sleeping difficult that night.

Nicely set out hotel, however found it not value for money

Nice pools, very friendly and helpful staff

The distance to lobby from room, and beds were quite hard. Also felt it was expensive for what was offered. Beach is not good for swimming as it’s very low water levels and there are a lot of corals

Wonderful paradise to unwind.

The staff was wonderfully friendly and we were specially spoilt by Subrata and Eka from the pool bar, thank you, you are stars! The facilities were fantastic, food and drinks delicious and activities entertaining and educational. The pools are wonderful, specially the salt water lagoon which already missed.

The bed was a bit too firm for my liking, that's all.

Wonderful. We had an amazing stay and would definitely return.

This was a fantastic break. The staff were attentive and very kind. The grounds were beautiful and led directly to the beach. There were three different types of restaurants catering for every type of palate. Some of the activities were based on Balian culture. The gym also had a good selection of equipment. I would definitely return to La Laguna.

A very minor detail were the lighting switches in the rooms , which were a bit confusing .

If you’re looking to relax in luxury, this is the place. Everything about this accommodation was top-notch, from the immaculate cleanliness to the professional and genuinely kind staff. Beautiful resort for a few days to relax

Incredible facilities, grounds, rooms, beds, pillows. Beautiful pools, close to beach and staff are excellent and so helpful and friendly.

We spent 4 days in Seminyak prior and the quality and choice of restaurants were incredible. The food at Laguna and in Nusa Dua in general is very “resort” (as to be expected) but no where near as good as what’s available elsewhere in Bali for significantly less cost.

Great access to the beach, lot's of pools and lagoons in the property giving the guests many options to swim. Rooms were great with super comfy beds.

Staff were a little stand off-ish, notably reception staff. Not as friendly as I expected. A little bit of big hotel chain attitude. Also found vegetarian food options to be limited, especially given there wasn't anything else around within walking distance.

lounges around the pool to be monitored, we felt other guests just put the towel on the beds then left under attended for more than two hours at a time, staff didn't want to get involved, resulting in confrontation between guests. 30 mins should be a time slot and should be displayed at all times.
