Overall, the resort was excellent - facilities, room and dining options included. Would recommend.

Buffet breakfast was exceptional on each occasion. Great food choice options and a lovely dining atmosphere. The lagoon-front room was excellent and well-appointed. We had a trundle bed for our daughter and this was of good quality and comfortable to sleep on.

The room was excellent although had a distinctly mouldy smell that could not be eradicated even after maintenance and housekeeping cleaned aircon filter etc. Dinner service at Kwee Zeen was atrocious. We ordered a simple meal, including a children's meal, and it took an eternity to come out (the restaurant was quiet so the kitchen would not have been under any pressure) Side dishes arrived first. A quarter of an hour later, the entree arrived. 5 mins later, one main meal arrived and, another 10mins later, the second and third main meals arrived.

Second visit to Sofitel - Larger than average room. The large pool complex and the gardens are verry nice, Photo attached. Beach which is100m away from the pools is also very nice and tidy. Overall the hotel location in Nusa Dua is great and it is a nice and tidy place compared to Seminyak for example. Good for family stay. We also liked the beach club Manarai which was right next to hotel on the beach, that provided a different atmosphere and food. Within 10-minute walk along the beach there are many restaurants from other hotels that you can try, and water sports beach was a 5-minute walk from hotel. If you are after shopping etc, Nusa Dua is not the place. there is Bali Collection Shopping centre close by worth a visit but Seminyak and Kuta offer better shopping overall.

Main Restaurant ! this was our second visit to Sofitel and the restaurant had not improved. For coffee drinkers like me, all of the coffee we had there was not nice, late, cold or the wrong type often! The buffet for breakfast and dinner etc is spread in 4 different rooms, it takes a long time to collect what food you need and the placement is not logical. Muesli is in fruit room without any milk and not where other cereals are in the bread room for example... and many other such examples. Breakfast is average and staff are slow to attend though friendly and nice. The rooms and bathrooms are outdated, there was no refurb done in 8 years between my 2 visits, We stayed in exactly the same style of room 8 years later just looking older. They have painted a black paint over a rather beautiful Basalt stone floor in rooms and corridors that is very untidy looking and keeps flaking, making a lot of mess, photo attached. Although overall it was a good stay but will not stay there again.

Best hotel in Nusa Dua

Absolutely amazing hotel! We had a room with direct access to the pool, which was incredible. The room was very spacious and so comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and there is so much to do. The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Sri who served us at breakfast. Breakfast selection is incredible! We cekebrated our wedding anniversary and the hotel made a special effort to congratulate us. We will definitely be back!

This is not a 5 star experience. The common areas are nice and the location is great on the beach, but the rooms we stayed at were in need of an urgent upgrade and deeper cleaning. We were celebrating a birthday and were surprised by a nice small treat which was a nice gesture and appreciated.

We booked two rooms with plunge pools. Interior finishes are dated and in need of an upgrade. The fabric wall panels had dust on them, we found nail clippings on the floor, mold in the shower in one room and mold on the wall in the other, stains on the couch. I reported it to a lady at the reception desk. She apologized and said she would report to management and would request a deep clean. Someone did show up and tried cleaning, but the mold stains were still there and the floor still felt dirty, couch was still stained. Beach chairs are very dated and need of a deeper cleaning or to be replaced. We ate at the buffet and were not impressed with the food choices and felt that it was overpriced. We ordered food at Toya twice and both times waited for way too long for our food and drinks to be served, 35+ min wait. We were offered a complimentary juice because it was not served until after we had finished our food. Both times it was just us and another table, so it’s not like they were too busy and couldn’t catch up with orders. Food at the Cucina restaurant was good and service was the best we experienced at this resort. We felt it was overpriced though.

Okay, better for families, not for couples!

The entrance was beautiful.

The rooms and pool area are a little tired / less well kept than other hotels in Bali. The pools could have been cleaner. We really enjoyed the beach club that is linked to the hotel, but it was a struggle to find beds in the shade during the day at the actual hotel. There was also a lack of food options during the day so we often went into town or to another hotel down the road instead. I think it’s a great place to stay if you have kids and want western food / everything in one place but for couples, I wouldn’t recommend.

Stunningly beautiful luxury stay

Nusa Dua is spectacularly beautiful in a gated ‘tourist only’ area. The beaches are superb golden sand. The Sofitel hotel and surrounding tourist area are excellent with many great cafes and restaurants. The Balinese are very friendly.

The only downsides are; Nusa Dua is not ‘true’ Bali. For the most part the local people you will encounter are service staff. The area is also expense compared to other parts of Bali - but as to be expected given the surroundings.

Amazing staff, I had a swim up room, good size, very clean. Breakfast in Kwee Zeen very good, so many options. My room qualified for the Melesime lounge. Great afternoon tea and drinks and nibbles. I have a fish allergy so the chef would make me something different, I didn’t ask, they just accommodated me. Staff everywhere a so friendly. Beautiful setting.

I recently stayed at the Sofitel hotel in Nusa Dua Bali for five nights wirh our five adult children to celebrate my husbands 65th birthday. We booked the villa, complete with a private pool and butler, while our adult children occupied pool access rooms that opened directly onto the wraparound swimming pool. The villa itself was immaculate—On arrival, the hotel had prepared champagne, balloons, and decorations to mark the celebration. The attention to detail was stunning. Our butler, Diah was exceptional—attentive, professional, and warm. She ensured every part of our stay ran smoothly and made us feel truly cared for. The Sunday brunch was another unforgettable highlight, with live piano and singing, it was world-class. The resort facilities were also excellent. We especially enjoyed the beach cabanas, which offered privacy and comfort. We also enjoyed a glass-bottom boat trip arranged through the hotel. The skipper was fantastic, taking us along the coast for swimming and snorkelling. It was a perfect outing and a highlight of the trip. The staff throughout the resort deserve the highest praise. Every interaction was warm and professional—we always felt like valued guests. Overall, this was the perfect way to celebrate my husbands 65th birthday. The villa, service, food, and activities all combined to create an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to families or groups looking for luxury, relaxation, and memorable celebrations

The pool area was understansably busy during school holidays, though still very enjoyable. One small suggestion: it would be lovely to have an adults-only time at the pool bar during sunset, as it was crowded with children at times.

The vibe was amazing, the food was amazing, the people were incredible,. The Cucina food was absolutely incredible. The cocktails were amazing. The stuff are great. The only flaw was Cucina made a mistake with our booking and we have to have to pay extra ‘After’ our lunch (was a dampener on the afternoon), then the beach restaurant service was terribly slow: we were told three times that had closed, but other stuff we’re serving other guests, we waited over 30 minutes for a table of drinks (4 drinks). The tee off ended up it being available fit 1 of 4 of our party so the others missed out (again told that game was finished).

If you include breakfast it was great. WAYY too many options, but great. The pool was nice. But there were a few family's that laid their stuff out at the cabana- and didn't come until 3+ hours later which was super annoying because it took away from other families having the chance to use it. 3 hours is a long time at the pool. Everyone can share.

If you like being on vacation with other people, and not feeling like you can experience culture- then this place is for you! The rooms are ransacked and are not luxurious at all. The rooms are teeny tiny and way too expensive in my opinion for what you can get in Bali. If you go 20 mins down the road, you can get an entire villa with a private pool for a fraction of the price. When resorts like this try to accommodate the western cuisine, instead of just sticking to their local cuisine-- you really don't get great food. Sadly, I don't even think they offered nasi goreng (a national staple) which is WILDDDD I didn't realize Nusa Dua is completely gated and guarded from all locals. Its purely resorts. We know the price gauging happens, but its absurd how much steeper it was here. Not our vibe, but could be yours! Bali is such a beautiful place and this resort (or any resort in Nusa Dua) does not capture that!

Great Accomodation, Wonderful Location, Don't expect much from the food at the restaurants

Very comfortable stay with excellent hospitality from the staff. Particularly liked the staff at the kids club. Our daughter was so happy to be with them all the times we left her under their care.

The food was a disappointment especially the breakfast. Even though they offered a variety, the breads didn't feel fresh, the taste was average and the coffee was the most disappointing.
