A thoughtful and comfortable stay overall, with a few moments that could be improved.

I really appreciated the seamless airport transfer provided by Mövenpick. The ride to the hotel was comfortable, and the driver communicated with us in clear English in a friendly and respectful way. He made conversation to get to know us while still giving us space to rest during the trip. The car was also nicely air‑conditioned, which added to the comfort. We were warmly welcomed at reception with hospitable and personalised service, including refreshing welcome drinks and cold towels. I was delighted by the surprise room upgrade given to my husband and me. I was also touched by the thoughtful birthday greeting from the staff, along with a lovely cake from the Mövenpick Café. Our room was well air‑conditioned, the breakfast offered a nice variety, and we enjoyed the spa and bar as well. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience.

One thing we found a little uncomfortable during our stay was that many staff members assumed we were locals. While we understood this was meant as a compliment, it became challenging for us to keep saying “English please” whenever we were spoken to in the local language. We never wanted to come across as degrading or dismissive, but it still felt awkward each time. This happened, for example, when we arrived for the Chocolate Hour and were approached by a staff member, who kindly greeted us but spoke to us in Balinese. I didn’t know how to respond at first except with a confused expression before eventually asking for English, which made me feel uneasy. It was also a bit awkward for my husband and me when we had just arrived in Bali, were still tired from travelling, and had limited time to enjoy the Chocolate Hour. During that time, we were approached several times by the sales team offering to show us other Accor hotels on another day. We appreciated the discount offers, but we were on a tight schedule and not yet in the right headspace to consider any additional plans. We politely declined and eventually had to explain our full itinerary for the representative to understand that we genuinely couldn’t commit. After that, we appreciated that she allowed us to enjoy the rest of our time. She remained friendly and continued to smile sincerely despite our polite refusal, which we truly valued.

The size of the hotel was very good, going in January it wasn’t too busy but felt like you had your own space

The cost of food and drinks. It’s cost 55,000 for a coke when you can buy one from the shop for 8,000

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Movenpick Resort Bali—100% recommend for families seeking a relaxing getaway with little ones! Our 2-year-old daughter loved the kids’ club, splash pool, and spacious family rooms, while enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffets, and top-notch service. The staff went above and beyond to make our holiday stress-free and memorable.

The staff are so effortlessly attentive and just down right fabulous they really made the holiday relaxing and enjoyable and it wasn’t just one or two of them it was the whole crew! Well done team! The resort was a dream to stay at. Multiple pools to keep the grandkids happy, we had so much fun. The food was fantastic every day and throughout the day. It didn’t matter if it was part of the breakfast buffet, poolside or evening meals the quality was great. ….and don’t even get me started on the free chocolate hour 😍 and the rooftop bar for happy hour and tacos 😍😍😍 I’m going to try to get all the family back there for Christmas one year!

It would be great to have a hairdresser on site or at Samasta 😊

Great facilities for children and overall a nice hotel to stay at.

Fantastic kids facilities, clean and comfortable rooms. Good location for beach access throughout the daytime and shuttle services if required. Chocolate hour, inflatables, kids club and other activities were the best part of this stay for the kids.

Everything about movenpick was great! The rooms! The facilities! Were amazing. Our group booked for a tournament nearby and the location was perfect. The kids enjoyed everything about the hotel. We had a great time!

We didn’t enjoy my stay and would not recommend this hotel.

The chocolate fountain area.

Unfortunately, most of the experience was disappointing. The room was very small, the shower didn’t work properly, and there was an unpleasant smell. The overall condition felt old and not up to the standard of a “king room.” The pool area was also underwhelming, and the food wasn’t tasty. Overall, the property didn’t meet expectations and didn’t reflect the quality of a genuine five-star family hotel.

Family friendly and relaxing, doesn’t feel like a carnival

The resort was very family friendly! My child loved attending kids club! We also enjoyed the variety at breakfast buffet. The bed was huge and comfortable. My husband and I slept comfortably with our toddler who likes to sleep horizontally. The welcome staff/reception staff were great as well as those who mind the kids club and pool area - very friendly and welcoming.

Great hotel for families, lots of things for kids to do and. 4 hours of kids club care included every day. Great location close to Jimbaran, rooms large and spacious.

Only complaint was checkout we asked for our bags to be collected but they weren’t, had to go downstairs and the bell desk were more occupied with their phones than helping us. A shame as we had a lovely stay

Excellent family stay that we all loved! We wish we had have booked for longer!!

We had an outstanding stay at Movenpick. We all wanted to stay longer and will definitely be booking to end each future Bali trip at Movenpick. The breakfast buffet is the best any of us have ever had. Make sure you book for the Grill & Chill Thursday night buffet. It was excellent. The staff all over the resort were so friendly and helpful. My 6 year old son visited kids club twice with his cousin and had a great time. There is also Timezone next door, which is excellent and really handy for an after dinner kids activity. If you stay on a Tuesday night, there are yummy 20k Tacos upstairs on the rooftop!

Great resort for young families

Very clean and modern facilities, enjoyed the food at Aristara (breakfast and other meals). The kids enjoyed chocolate hour in the lobby and seeing the hotel dogs around the resort. It's worth hiring a pool cabana if you are planning to spend a few hours by the pool. Beautifully maintained gardens and we enjoyed the free traditional performance in the outdoor shopping/restaurant area next door. Overall very friendly staff.

The rabbits need a bit more care and attention. The staff at Aristara were sometimes distracted and service wasn't as prompt/attentive as you would expect. We decided to get the beach shuttle at 9am one day (the beach is actually very close) but the driver was 15 mins late. Didn't see any recycling bins in our room or around the resort. Need kids cutlery and cups (there are kid plates though).

What is a shame that on the booking page a 2 person room where a child can be added that they don’t tell it beforehand that the extra bed is an extra charge and while checking in, they aren’t sure that there is a bed available. They assume that children under 12 are sleeping in the same bed as the parents.

Great 5 star resort, solid performer all-round.

Staff were excellent. Fantastic facilities. Great pool and gym facilities too. The spa facilities are wonderful too.

Certain parts of the rooms do look a bit worn and dated. Room was clean for the most part, but some areas were still a bit dusty.
