We really enjoyed our stay here even with a few small lesser details

The room was amazing, so big and bright. Also all the other facilities present, like the pool and spa

We could only get lukewarm water, which was especially underwhelming when we tried to draw a bath in our fabulous bathtub in the room. We then also found out that the water was basically brown. Sheets were unfortunately not clean.

We spent a really nice time in Kupu kupu hotel very welllocztre close to the sea and surf school by walking

Nice place, really beautiful bedrooms, really spacious.

It is sad because the hotel is beautiful, the bedrooms are really nice and confortable, the staff is nice and helpful but there is a lack of care in the global hotel, in the wall and we start seeing a lot of small details broken in common areas.

Amazing little gem!

The staff were excellent! Caring & considerate. Yoga is a star. The therapist, Eni, at the spa, is a special lady!

The staffs are lovely. The royal room is massive and decor was charming. Value for money was ok.

Breakfast was basic, hotel is dated. Although it’s comfortable but I wouldn’t call it 5 stars.

It was adequate for one night

We stayed one night. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good lots of choices.

The room was dark. There was not a lot of natural sunlight. The hotel was far away from the quiet beach however it was easy to take an Uber.

Incredible hotel and spa in the heart of Jimbaran

We LOVED our stay at Kupu Kupu! The hotel is gorgeous and our rooftop villa was right outside the main pool, which our kids utilised a lot. Breakfast is fantastic with many options and both the Tandoor and Italian restaurants downstairs are top-notch. We did not expect the free golf buggy shuttle service to the beach, that was a lovely surprise, as well as the free transfer to the airport. Highlight was definitely the Bamboo Spa by L’Occitane, absolutely stunning and I had a beautiful foot massage and facial, highly recommend! All the staff are amazing, we would definitely visit again :)

The dark wood in the rooms, but that's just a personal preference.

There are better places for much cheaper.

HOT HOT HOT. Stairs were so painful to step on you have to wear shoes all the time to go up and down to the bathroom at night.

There are no sidewalks near the hotel so it feels unsafe to walk to nearby shops and restaurants - so you are stuck riding the golf cart to their restaurant which is just okay.

Wonderful

Can not fault this hotel. Amazing staff, superb - you name it!!!! My Mum has to stayed at the hotel for a day whilst myself and my children went to Nusa Penida island for a day. The staff were so very kind and looked after my Mum very well. I'm so grateful for their hospitality. The location is great as it is just around the corner from our favourite Jimbaran seafood! Breakfast was good too, plenty of choices.

Spacious Rooms, Amazing Staff, and a Slice of Bali Bliss

Kupu Kupu Jimbaran was an absolute delight! The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and had such an authentic Balinese feel—it felt like stepping into a little oasis. The staff were wonderful—genuinely warm, attentive, and always happy to help. The infinity pool? Stunning. I could’ve floated there all day pretending I had no emails to return. Only one tiny surprise: no toilet spray! For a place that nails every other detail so well, I half expected a gold-plated one! Still, a fantastic stay and I’d return in a heartbeat.

Welcoming hotel, great location, great room

A wonderful stay, highly recommend. Great location, very welcoming hotel. Arrived late at night having travelled by myself feeling a little apprehensive, however hotel is close to airport ie 15 minutes. Has 24 hour swimming pool. Was given a welcome juice and dessert, very refreshing and relaxing in cool hotel. Staff were sooooo nice. Details of hotel were explained clearly by hotel at checkin. Location is great, restaurant next door and around corner is Italian restaurant, indian restaurant, chocolate Cafe plus chemist, minimart (with atm), money exchange, other direction is 10 minutes walk to beach where I had breakfast included in my hotel booking. I could have breakfast at hotel or beach. Very hearty choice or breakfast. Hotel even gave a complimentary dinner at indian restaurant (I just had to pay for any drink, approx idr 5,000 for soft drink., about aud 5 ). Pool is approximately 1.2 meters deep, which means I could stand , swim or float anywhere. (Wonderful to beat the humidity). Location is great if you want to do seafood restaurant location for dinner. Stayed in deluxe room in uluwatu suite. Great air con, peaceful balcony, huge bathroom. Comfy large bed, free bottles of water. Felt welcomed every time I walked in hotel and room quickly became home. Hotel is about 15 minutes from airport,. Can also walk to shopping complex 'Samastabali'. Higly recommended hotel.

Lovely for a few days relaxing break with lovely rooms and staff

Beautiful decor and big family rooms. Nice breakfast and super friendly staff. Buggy to the beach was a great touch as walking would have been less enjoyable. Spa facilities were lovely as was roof top pool for a peaceful swim

Beach club needs some love and the beach in front of it could do with a clean up. It is a slightly odd location on a very busy road but overall this didn’t matter.

Comfortable and luxurious Jimbaran at an affordable price.

Kupu Kupu is located about a 10 minutes walk (2 mins drive) from Jimbaran beach on a side road and has access to a beach club facility, which is nice given it is not right on the shore. The decor is outstanding throughout, the staff friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool and garden space is quite pleasant. We did not try the spa facilities. Overall, we were quite satisfied with our stay.

The only downside to the hotel is that on one side, there is a busier road, which has a lot of traffic noise at all times of day and night and the rooms are not well sound isolated. The beach club facility did not open until around 11:00 am, and we found earlier was the nicest part of the day on the beach.

Staff were lovely and very accommodating. The hotel is beautifully appointed and looks great, but it did have its issues. the staff did change our room for us. and tried to help out as much as they could. short walk to the beach and seafood restos.

the internet went in and out. the tv didnt work half the time, even tho the staff fixed it for us twice. huge room but nowhere to put anything. the shower was terrible - weak and not very hot.

Very comfortable and beautiful place

The people is absolutely amazing and caring, always prepared to help in every circunstance. The breakfast has many choices, all of them very tasteful and complete. The space is very confy and nature friendly. We love the inside gardens and the pools. The room was big and well prepared with everything needed to relax and enjoy.

In the room, we heard a background AC noise during the night, but nothing too loud.

Nice place but not 5 star

We stayed in one of the 4 Villas at the rear. The Villa and furnishings were absolutely beautiful. Very spacious room. The breakfast was good, sometimes A’La Carte other times Buffet. Not extensive but sufficient and tasty. The staff here were excellent and extremely friendly. 5 Star no but a nice place. The Bulls Head Steakhouse just down the road is well worth a visit. Thanks again to all the staff.

The hot water was very hit and miss and will hopefully be rectified. The pool needs some maintenance expertise and loving.

Nice stay but requires improvement

The staff are very nice and the location is only a 5 mins from the beach. We stayed in the duplex villa which was spacious and pool was right outside which was very convenient.

There is work being done so can be noisy at times, the hotel is not fully opened as some of the amenities are closed. It can do with a clean in certain areas when you access the restaurants from the hotel as it is quite dusty. I was not too impressed with the beach club as it looks worn out and should be updated. The towels I got had been used and were damp when I questioned this they did get some new towels from the hotel - need to upgrade on the hygiene front. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel - I would at a push rate this at a 3.5 star hotel.

this resort is not 100% ready for guests, and dispointing pricing from Booking.com

the staff has been very good, and the massage was great too, they have done their best but the issues are beyond them.

after being closed for 2 years, the resort only reopened recently and is running at limited capacity. Booking.com should have done a better job when taking on such listings. if I had known the situation there, I would have made other choices. also the price that Booking.com provided is just ridiculous, it has really failed users’ trust when finding the best price. the issues including: no credit card facility; severe ceiling mound in the spa section; kitchen only serves breakfast, and coffee machine broke down; first night shower has no pressure; the beach club is run down

Amazing staff, delicious odor in all places and personal attention made our stay totally pleasant. And I loved the room we stayed in. The interior was very cozy, quality and the room was very spacious by itself. Can't wait to come back!

Great place to unwind and enjoy pampering spa treatments.

Staff is super friendly and helpful; always smiling and ready to make your stay a great one. The spa is fabulous and the main reason for me choosing to stay here and it certainly made my day.

The location is a bit hard to find by people unfamiliar to the area; but I guess this not the hotel's fault. It is close enough to malls; but very far away from Ubud and attraction at that side of the island so keep that in mind if you intend to do a lot of sightseeing.
