Very beautiful, but the staff can work on some more comfort

It’s very cute and beautiful, especially for this price.

We booked 4 villas, 2 of them had a leaky roof which made that the people sleeping here got wet during the night and had a puddle under their bed in the end. Also despite asking for cleaning the room, this only happened the last night so I had to go to the reception to ask for new toilet paper and such.

Perfect for a short stay, very close to the airport!

The staff is sooo lovely and the hut we stayed in was very cute and clean. The location is good, very close to the beach, but in a quiet back alley. You will hear the cockerels in the morning and they are loud, but it didn't bother us. Comfy beds and good A/C.

The bathroom could do with a bit of refurbishment, but everything was working ok.

Budget accommodation but tucked away so nice and private. Staff friendly and pool is good

Breakfast was good. Beach is a 10 minute walk and there are lots of cafes and restaurants there so we ate there mostly. We only spent 2 nights on our way back flying back to the UK so wanted something cheap and cheerful. The pool was good and no-one used it whilst we were there so felt lovely and private.

Problem with language. Young guy who welcomed us had to use google translate as we were asking when our half board meal would be served. The following day we went to the outdoor restaurant and was given a snack menu to choose from. but as the place was small we didn't expect a great choice. However after selecting a rice dish he google translated and said it would be 1 hour. We gave up on this and ate in a local restaurant. Our booking had said evening meal included but I think it was a mistake

Good atmosphere, but hot during the day

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the pool in this villa. I would give all stars if the room had been at least as cool as the outside during the day. But there are ceramic bricks on the roof and no insulation underneath, so I got baked during the day. Despite AC it was hotter than outside, so I had to work online somewhere else. But apart from that, it was really nice and quiet.

The roofs need insulation below the tiles. Just put a cheap insulating material up there and you can save hugely on AC electricity and can make it more comfortable during the day.

Perfect stay with friendly staff

The huts were perfect! The staff were so helpful and kind, we were able to pay for them to do our laundry and it was ready the next day, we also had a tasty omelette when we arrived! I would recommend hiring a moped if you’re wanting to see the main town, it took around 35 mins to drive there on a moped, the drive was fine with some traffic.

Good place to stays for a few nights. The bed is reallly comfortable, bathroom is pretty work and basic.

Amazing.

The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The facilities were peaceful and clean, for the value for money and what you pay it is a very high standard of service, the pool is fabulous and the little bungalows great.

The one downside was the shower power but this was manageable.

We loved our stay here🤍 The boys who run this place are wonderful. The location is quiet but close to everything including the beach and seafood restaurants on the beach. For the price of staying I have nothing to complain about🙏🏼

Excellent service

We only stayed one night and they looked after the luggage for 2 nights. That is really excellent. Also friendly staff and trying to help. The bathroom was a good size.

Cosy joglos, not too far from the beach

Gorgeous little joglos. Small, but how much time do you spend in the room?! Well kept gardens. Simple tasty breakfast. Staff were very caring.

No fridge or kettle, although put in the room when we asked.

No value for even this little money

The place lacks any soul, it feels set up like a quick money making machine. Staff did as limited as possible, room wasn't even ready upon check in at 6pm, breakfast didn't start as agreed, they lacked enough cups for all the guests (like how), served cold coffee, staff had loud phone calls before 7am, after showering the place is flooded etc. It seemed no one really cared for the place. We travelled all over SE Asia and had poor facilities before but at least staff would be helpful and try their best, in this case both were below level.

Mixed experience

There were two main issues during our stay. First, the staff didn’t speak English well, which made communication difficult. Second, the air conditioner in our first room didn’t work properly — we asked for it to be fixed, and they tried restarting it via the power supply, but it stopped working again after about 30 minutes. After the first night, we were moved to another room where the AC worked well. The second room was much more comfortable.

Disappointed

Very friendly staff

Very basic. Hard beds. Bathroom basic. Toilet not working in one hut, not attached to the floor in the second. No fridges in the room. The huts have no soundproofing so you can hear the conversations in the next hut as if you were there. If you have neighbours coming back a bit drunk at 1am, bad luck. Menu in the 'restaurant' had only three items on it, mie goreng, nasi goreng and spaghetti bolognaise. The cook was slow. The hotel had only one beer in their drinks cooler. Everything was very amateur, like the staff were playing at being hoteliers. . The pool is quite deep so not suitable for younger children. The staff were friendly but a four star hotel was priced at the same so it's overpriced for what it is, which is basically two rows of huts with very few amenities. I wouldn't recommend it. The pictures on the website didn't live up to the reality.

Old-style, basic accommodation, clean and a decent location

I was pretty comfortable at Kubu Kak Dudung. It's old style accommodation and everything looked well used, but clean and thoughtfully appointed. The bed was comfortable, there was a power outlet near a mirror, which enabled me to use a hairdryer. It was an easy 10 minute walk to the beach, and there were several dining options at the beach and closer to the KKD.

I'd have liked a kettle in my room (but had a small immersion boiler with me, so used that). The shower was cold - not sure if that's usual.

Good for a transit day

Cheap and convenient as a place for transit if you’re flying out of Denpasar airport. We dropped our bags there so we could explore Jimbaran and used it as a base to re- pack and prepare for flight.

Pool was slightly green, and didn’t look good to swim in. Rooms are small but perfect for what we needed as a base for the day. You can hear / see your neighbours so very little privacy. The staff don’t speak any English so while reasonably friendly, they can’t help with you with anything . It’s down a narrow lane way so you need to walk a few minutes to main road for a taxi.

Dirty and green pool Chalets are boiling hot, air-conditioning doesn't do anything. There are holes everywhere so bugs are coming all the time. We were beaten by mosquitos immediately after entering room. We decided to leave the hotel and find other accommodation because it was that bad and we were still charged. I don't reccomend staying there

Shouldn't trust the place

The location is good. Staff is friendly but don't speak english, very difficult to communicate. The aircon and bed was good.

My experience would be great I believe if was not for one but huge mistake of them: they have on their menu for breakfast written "mineral water" but it's actually tap water or bad filtered water. I trusted them, but I shouldn't. I got bali belly and I'm on bed for 3 days, with very bad symptoms that is making my trip very frustrated with all the money spent in doctors and medicines, apart from the classes I'm missing on my expensive training because of that. Staff were friendly but couldn't speak english so even to ask for something simple was hard. Manager is never there, you feel frustrated with that treatment as I couldn't explain what they did wrong and how it affected me, because they can't communicate. It's frustrating and desapointing. The cleanliness of the room was good however the toilets were too old and with aspects of unsafety...They should be taking care of their clients and providing closed bottled water in the breakfast which by the way was really poor. After a 40h airplane travel to get here that was absolutely not the welcome that I was expecting for...Feeling very frustrated with the treatment and no response for what happened. That was the only place I drunk water that was not from a closed water bottle because I trusted them and that was my mistake.

Hero staff and amazing service! But rooms need a lot of work.

I'm very torn on this review because the staff were SOO helpful, they really did go above and beyond, especially when my phone was broken because of the rain and they let me use their personal phones to login and contact loved ones to let them know I was ok. They were also quick to jump on any problem I had such as the air conditioner leaking or not working or helping me out in so many ways. So they really did try their best! Also, for the very affordable price I was paying, I can't complain too much.

Apart from the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, sadly the room was not in great condition, the air conditioner leaked, and then wouldn't turn on until they'd manually reset the power. The roof also leaked in a few places, including directly onto the bed so I had to move it into the corner of the room. There were also lots of cracks that let in geckoes, which were cute, and mosquitoes, which were less so. I was also quite concerned by the condition of the pool, which seemed quite cloudy with debris. Finally the light in the room was very dim, to the point I sometimes needed my torch when I was packing, and there's few power points to charge things with,

If you are a party person, or like to talk a bit loud, it can bother the other guests. We had a situation that a guest complained that we were being loud and we should shut our mouths😱 it was 7pm and we were just laughing around the pool, nothing too much. So, if you are in the comum areas consider the guest around.

Nice place badly managed and terrible bedding/ towels

Nice n simple with excellent staff but very bad management/owner who berated his staff in front of guests . The best staff member was sacked (Inge) and no one to replace her so all work - breakfast, cleaning, garden - was left to boy who only 2 months ago moved from Java and never worked in hospitality before!

Towels n bedding so old i would only use it to mop the floor. The towels were frayed and had all sorts of marks on them.

Excellent location, close to the beach, with a lovely swimming pool.

This hotel has nice individual houses and a small but lovely swimming pool, big bonus. It's located in a quieter part, away from the main road.

The A/C remote had a broken display so I couldn't set it properly. Later it was adjusted by the man from the hotel. I also thought the breakfast menu sounded bigger than it actually was, eg fresh fruit salad turned out to be 4 slices of papaya...

Great convenient location close to beach and amenities.

The location was great, walking distance to beach, shops & restaurants. There were only 10 rooms/huts which was good and the swimming pool was adequate for the amount of people staying at the accommodation. Breakfast was included and was ok with a choice of cold and hot food.

The staff didn’t speak much English so difficult communicating and apart from one man the rest of the staff seemed unhappy.

A decent accommodation

The location is great, near to restaurants. Easy to reach everywhere in the southern area. Overall it’s a nice place to stay for couple of days. The staff is so nice willing to help you.

The AC was not working properly, and was so hot in the morning also the courting was not stopping the sun to come in. The bathroom was not so clean.
