Slice of heaven on top of the mountain.

It was an awesome view on top of the mountain. The room was really clean well set up and it was no trouble to split the king bed into two. Brita & Heinz were extremely friendly, carried our bags up three flights of stairs, provide an 10 out of 10 breakfast, gave handy hints on parking in Pahia, we felt safe and secure - didn't even lock our room, roomy car parks available. You can walk through the bush into town but need to remember the walk up the hill is harder. Loved the birds singing in the morning.

Great location! Beautiful view. Hosts were exceptional - so friendly and kind. Spacious room and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was included and it was delicious.

Just minor things. The trade off of the beautiful was the location of the home on a steep hill. So walking to town can be tiring when coming back - I drove my vehicle and parked up at the bottom of the hill because I'm so unfit LOL. Being summertime and amongst native bush there were pesky ants. Heinz kindly notified me of this and there were bait stations around. As long as food is not lying around they're not a problem.

The owners were very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. The fittings were beautiful and the view spectacular.

Always follow the recommendations of your brother, if you have one (he recommended Allegra to us).

The location is top notch and is the main reason why we went there. It offers beautiful views and easy access to activities. The breakfast experience was enjoyable for many reasons including, the choice and quality of the food and the artful display of the fruit plates, as well as the lively discussions with our hosts.

The hospitality of Heinz and Brita was superb. The view from our room and balcony took in all of Paihia and was most enjoyable. Breakfast was full on for food lovers!

Could not fault Allegra House and it is a short downhill walk of about 10 minutes to the waterfront. Uphill was a bit more of a challenge so a car is essential.

Amazing stay & outstanding views in Paihia, NZ!

Heinz & Brita were the most gracious hosts. The room had everything we needed for our stay, very comfortable, and the view from the balcony was stunning! The Allegra House was a close walk to everything Paihia, and they have a cute little shortcut path down the hill. The breakfast & homemade bread was delicious ~ so much to choose from to start your day. We would definitely come back to Paihia & stay at the Allegra House again.

We had a wonderful stay at Brita and Heinz’gorgeous property! Our room was spotless and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Our hosts were fantastic and had excellent knowledge of the local area and provided us with great recommendations. Heinz daily baked bread was yummy, a fabulous treat every morning along with great breakfast.Highly recommend staying here and we would love to come back!

Beautiful Bay of Islands

No matter what room you choose you will have a panoramic view of the bay, an outdoor seating area, and the fantastic breakfast (fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread, cheese, cold meats, and cooked-to-order eggs). Rooms vary: bed size, stairs inside/outside/none. Just a 5-minute drive to Waitangi Treaty Grounds. There is a path downhill to Paihia but plenty of parking in the village if you want to drive (generally more than 2 hours you will have to pay to park). Deep Water Cove snorkel trip with https://bayofislandssnorkelling.co.nz/ was great.

This is not a self-catering stay. There is a refrigerator and tea/coffee kettle but no microwave or other cooking option. There are plenty of places to eat in Paihia.

Gorgeous property, wonderful view and exemplary hosts.

The view from the property is to die for and it's not too far from the main drag. Everything was easy to get to from the property. The breakfast was one of the best we've had from a B&B, so much variety and plenty of it. The hosts are lovely people and you can tell that they love their way of life.
