From the time we checked in the staff was amazing and very accommodating to our needs. The room was very clean and comfortable to stay in. Awesome view from our balcony. All the shops, dining and bars were walking distance which was excellent. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit.

Absolutely excellent accomodation. Wonderful customer service. As we were staying a bit longer Quinn gave us the suite with dual aspect. Such awesome views over the Bay of Islands. The balcony was put to good use. Our suite was very spacious & exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed. Couldn't ask for more. A short walk to bars, cafes, eateries & shops. So much to do in the area. Such a beautiful area, but then New Zealand is all gorgeous! We totally recommend the Breakwater Motel to anyone visiting the Bay of Islands. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thanks so much to our hosts.

Was very impressed with this motel. Staff were excellent. Room made up every day. Great location. Very clean and tidy. Was not expecting such a great motel. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Loved the kitchenette and big bathroom.

There are only motels here so we drove past this one on the way to see where the ferry’s leave. Was right on the main road but had full views of the bay. We got ground floor Room 1 and was great. Sat outside and watched the world go by along with the cars which was the only issue. Bed a bit small and soft for our liking but bathroom, kitchen and seating area all good sizes. You do pay for the view!

It's situated right off the main road and the beach, so I didn't need my car until I was ready to leave town. Very quiet, the 3 staff members I talked with were friendly and helpful, and the room was a bit more spacious than I expected. If I'm ever back in Paihia I'll stay here again.
