Was clean and comfortable beds v spacious. The little garden/terrace at the back of our room was nice to sit outside.

A hit or miss...

Location and the polite staff.

The bed was hard and the pull out couch was musky. Servicing the room daily, lacked a bathroom towel, bed detailing and coffee & sugar top up. The spa water smelt yuck and the pool water was very murky.

Paihia is a beautiful place with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops with plenty of activities

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The property was clean and the location was perfect.

The accommodation was a bit tired and could do with some updating and redecoration. The facilities provided (ie. facilities for food preparation, etc) were very minimal and we had to purchase items to make our stay easier.

We had a comfortable stay. The motel was within easy walking distance of town, shops and restaurant

The unit was roomy, close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The pool was good.

We were lead to believe we would have a patio area, which we didn't. Our patio was a seating area in the carpark - mainly for smokers. The kitchen was basic and lacked things like oven mits, bowls, etc. The TV was a nightmare to work and instructions were outdated.

We really enjoyed it as we had everything we needed and close proximity to town for restaurants, shops and tours leaving

The manager made us feel welcome, the location was within a short walking distance from the Main Street of Paihia and the beach. The rooms were clean and had AC.

The bathroom could have done with a deep clean or update. I wouldn’t cook in the room as it was pretty limited with kitchen equipment and no range hood.

The best thing about this place is the staff. They were friendly and tried to help us with everything we asked. The shower was excellent.

There was an information book but some of the items seemed out of date. The television was not good.

Quiet location and not too expensive it is dated but clean and tidy

The place was very clean. The reception/manager was very polite and happy to share his local knowledge and answer our questions. Spacious room.

This is not a criticism - our (one night) stay was exceptional value and as advertised. and the motel - while clean - was showing its age. While the shower has doors rather then a curtain, the bathroom had old style plumbing. The motel is not beachfront and a fair walk to the main Paihia area (but a short drive, so no views.

Above and beyond service, nice facilities and clean rooms.

Great competitive prices and nice facilities in the room we were staying in. Everything was nice and clean too! The service was exceptional and they went above and beyond in accomodating for our late check in, even giving us some complimentary milk. Clearly they’re really passionate, we liked it so much we opted to stay another night

Extremely clean with large rooms

Impeccably clean, well located and large rooms. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a suite and the rooms there are huge, combined with a lovely balcony overlooking a small garden. I’ve never been in a hotel so clean. Short walk to cafes, restaurants and the beach - there is nothing not to love. I would say the hotel is, if anything, underpriced!

Maybe a power outlet near the mirror to run a hairdryer, but that was a small thing.

I will never stay there and never will I recommend this place to anyone. So many better options in Paihia

The pool was nice. The room was ok.

The staff were so unfriendly. We booked in for 2 nights paid $380 all up in the middle of winter. Got told by the maid take your rubbish with you when you leave and we dont clean the room in between stays. The manager guy was just not nice, went in to get pool towels, he gave them and then locked the door behind me. So unwelcoming.

The shower in room 7 needs to have a really good scrub, nothing that can’t be removed with specific cleaners. Having an opaque window in the shower which faces the carpark is very off putting, especially when the room has lights on

Our favourite motel!!

This is our favourite motel - I think ever! It's an older, solid motel that's been well cared-for and looks freshly painted. Super clean and had everything we needed. We had a separate bedroom which was a bonus. It was comfortable and cosy (we were there during a major rain and wind storm) and easy to warm. Very close to the restaurants, cafes and beach! The host is just the loveliest person you could meet and gave us a lovely warm welcome! Best value for money! We'll be back!!

Location and price

Larger sofa...more counter space in kitchen. Recommend putting a newer and smaller microwave on the wall in the kitchen to provide that extra counter space. A bigger shelf on the wall in shower to put your stuff in. And again..a few shelves on the wall to put all your bathroom stuff on. Little details like this make the customer experience that much more accommodating. Lastly the outside patio on the lower level does not provide privacy at all. Not nice.

Great place to stay with family - young adults

We had two family rooms with kitchens, both were spotless. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed, beds very good and shower hot. The wifi worked well. Short walk to the seafront and a good cafe on the front. Although a longer walk or you would need to drive to the main shopping area.

Being close to our cruise departure at the wharf. Kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable sofa.

Bed was uncomfortable. Mould in the shower. Bathroom floor was very slippery when wet. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. No air conditioning or fan. It was warm and humid and we definitely needed a fan or air conditioner. No spare pillows. It advertised a pool, but it was very tiny and looked like a pond. No screens on the windows. The toilet was very small. Don't recommend and wouldn't stay again.

Got everything you need - Good for budget travellers

Stayed at the Two Bedroom Apartment and had everything we needed. Only a 5-10 min walk to Paihia Central but only 2 min walk to the beach. Lovely walk into town!

The accomodation was as expected and suited our needs adequately.

Pool didn't open until 10am and we would have liked to have swum in the morning. Due to water restrictions this would have meant we wouldn't have taken showers.

Well located. Near enough to the centre to be in easy reach of everything but not so close as to be disturbed by nightlife. Room was clean and comfortable and the owner was really pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

Well located and good value

It was a short walk along the coast road to Pahia centre. Good restaurants along the way. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was some seating outside on a private balcony. It met our requirements for a 2 night base.

The road noise was noticeable but inevitable, being situated on the main route in. It wasnt a major issue. The swimming pool was very small, maybe suitable for cooling off, perhaps a kids play pool..

Satisfied

The room's are always up to date, close to the shop's, so only need to walk and get to the beach. I love how the room's are set up with bedding tv and couch including a well rounded kitchen and making it good value and comforting as well. Lovely host and staff who where more than helpful at anytime. Would definatly not regret staying here and is somewhere i look forward to staying everytime.

The shower was ridiculous! Plenty of room for a decent one but was a three quarter shape ! When you open the door to turn it on it sprays out over the bathroom , you couldn’t adjust the shower head! Bizzare!

Our unit was spotlessly clean and well provisioned and we had a very comfortable stay.

Everything was spic and span and in good working order. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfy.

Balcony looked straight onto the neighbouring motel, but we still felt the unit was good value for money.
