Great apartment with free covered parking in the centre of town.

Location right in town. Walk to shops in 2 minutes. Covered parking (free) good sized room and bathroom. Very helpful hosts. Nice verandah with small table and chairs.

We had trouble with Sky satellite TV service - the problem was with SKY.

Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, and the deck was huge. Great bed, and armchairs. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed.

Perfect Location, Comfortable Stay & Fantastic Host

We had a great stay here. The location is perfect — right in town and just one street back from the waterfront, so everything was an easy walk. The two-bedroom apartment had been newly renovated and was modern, comfortable, and very clean. The air conditioning was a big plus and definitely appreciated in late January. Reid was an excellent host and a wealth of local knowledge. We followed several of his recommendations for activities and places to eat, and he absolutely nailed it every time. Would happily stay again.

The location was great. Views of water from the deck and close to shops but a block back from main street which was quieter. Couches and beds were comfy

We paid NZD405/night for this unit. It simply was not worth this amount.

Wifi excellent - fast and efficient. Beds very comfortable; kitchen facilities very good; location couldn't be better, close to beach and restaurants; undercover parking.

There was some renovation in the unit, however there was a lot of mould on the main bedroom ceiling; the shower pressure was very low; the laminate flooring had been laid poorly throughout - every step caused a creak in the boards. These were not laid flat at all. Our room was supposed to be ready by 1pm - we arrived at 1.40pm and it was not ready due to an issue with the previous occupant. The motel manager should have rung us before we arrived to tell us about this.

Beautiful comfy place to stay while away

Loved this place, lovely and roomy with a big veranda. Great little kitchen. The bed was the most comfortable out of all the motels we’ve stayed in. The manager was super kind letting us check in early as we were exhausted. Also walking distance to everything we needed.

Excellent location. Great size family apartment. Definitely book apartment on upper levels for the views. Easy walk to restaurants, beach and Waitangi grounds.

The manager was very friendly and helpful. Our ground-floor apartment was clean and well-equipped. The beds were comfortable, and there were extra pillows and blankets if needed. Great location to walk into the centre of Paihia. The kitchen was well stocked with suitable crockery etc, and the bottle of milk was very welcome for a morning cup of tea.

Excellent base to visit Bay of Islands area.

We were greeted by a lovely lady when check-in. The room was perfect. Warm, quiet, spotless and spacious. We loved the big airmchairs. The kitchen had everything you could ever need. The bathroom was a little bit dated but the shower was modern, big and clean. Location was excellent too.

Laundry was a bit expensive compare to other places we have been ($7 for washing machine and $7 for dryer). It would have been great to have a stainles steel pan instead of the anit-stick pan but this is something very minor.

a very pleasant comfortable stay.

hosts very helpful and accommodating. i thought i had booked a 2 bedroom apart but turned out i had booked a studio by mistake. they kindly moved us to a 2 bedroom apartment at a small extra costs for the 2 nights available in that and then helped us move to the studio. they also generously provided us with milk, tea sugar etc every day at no extra charge.

Excellent, excellent accomodation!

The motel was just a short walk from the water and shops. Elaine was so very accomodating, we arrived pre-noon due to a tropical storm cancelling our leisurely drive north, and she unquestioningly booked us in. The room was great. With the storm raging, power was out the following morning, but Elaine brought hot water, along with hot bacon (which was delicious, oved it!), and buttered bread - so breakfasted on a cheese (which had been brought along) and bacon sandwich and cup of hot chocolate! She was super and a great host!

Perfect 4 night stay in Paihia

Great location one street back from the foreshore. Short walk to restaurants, supermarket and jetty. Well equipped kitchenette - suitable for a 4 night stay. Staff very helpful, friendly and attentive. Lots of recommendations for the local area. Laundry area for use (at a charge) - well received after a few days on the road. Small balcony with glimpse of the water. Very comfortable bed and good shower pressure.

Most of the rooms are up a set of stairs not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Pleasant stay accept the spiders and cockroaches.

Great location, very close to the city center. Staff was really friendly. Nice and tidy apartment with a full kitchen.

This is the second time we have booked this place. Both times, we have found spiders and webs in the rooms. Also both times we have found cockroaches. Once in the bathroom, and this time inside the dishwasher. After that, we were reluctant to use any dishes. The owner cleaned everything out after we reported it, but because this was the second time, we feel that there could be a an issue.
