I got this location as it was at the back hopefully being a quieter location.

We were in room one and unfortunately right near office and where the coffee stand is and the noise comes straight through. Starts really early so forget about sleeping in.

It was very clean and the bed was super comfortable.

Found the shower far too small and the door to it was hard to open and close. We also kept hearing footsteps from the room above us lol (We stayed in room 1) Agree with some comments for the need of a mirror in elsewhere as the bathroom one is too high up 🙂

Angela is a fantastic host. She gave us lots of information about the area and booked us onto the most amazing sailing trip. The views from our room were amazing and it was close to the town.

Ideal base for exploring the Bay of Islands

Great location in a quieter part of Paihia town but only a short walk to the beach, wharf and plenty of restaurants. Clean, comfortable and very spacious room with a well equipped kitchenette. All the staff were really friendly but Angela did a great job of welcoming us and advising us on good restaurants and local activities. A boat trip around the Bay of Islands is a must do during your stay and can be booked via reception. We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed an extra night.

Well equipped smallish room (Room 2) with comfy bed and good shower…helpful and friendly staff

Very friendly and helpful host who gave us lots of useful info about the area. Quiet part of town, but within a short walk to restaurants and eateries.

Nothing much. Except the walls of the rooms are a little thin, and we are within very close proximity to everybody else. Felt there was a lack of privacy, especially if the neighbors prefer to sit outside their rooms.

Immaculate and well-appointed. Had everything I needed. Even the kitchen has nice crockery. The room was really light and airy. Got upgraded to a room with a balcony. Staff were so nice and friendly and loved the complimentary coffee in the morning from the coffee cart.

Great location, easy walking distance to town and restaurants, the apartment was spacious and very clean, the beds were comfy and shower was great. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful with local knowledge and the coffee cart was an added bonus, along with the friendly Ted & Charlie (dogs). Highly recommend.

i loved how the motel felt really homely- felt incredibly warm, bathroom and everything was clean. we had a small room but we still had a mini mini kitchen and medium sized bathroom- still really spacious. The reception was extremely friendly as well- really accomodating although we called and booked later during the night
