Basic old motel.

Convenience to beach and shops

Saw big hole in curtain on entering our room. Bird poo also on curtain. Manager didn't believe us when we told him. Very rude manager. No apology. Wifi does not work. Should not be advertised. People smoking outside drifts into rooms. Basic old motel.

The location was exactly what we needed in order to get to the ferry yet overpriced. Uncomfortable bed. The hosts are friendly and accommodating but we wouldn't stay again.

The bed was extremely firm, and the television was in a location that both people could not see it from the bed. The shower heads are quite low.

Convenient and clean

Convenient with parking close to your room. Clean. Very close to supermarket and to cosy small shops and local restaurants. Easy to get from this motel into the diving center for diving the wreck Canterbury.

Difficult to talk to the personal because of bad English. The light of the room was strange with no bed lights. Damp in the bathroom got the painting to start falling off.

Follow up after emergency alarm would be expected

Location was great for what we wanted

In the early morning of our last day the emergency fire alarm went off in all units, we were preparing to evacuate when it was turned off. There was no communication with any staff we just didn't see them. And had no follow-up or explanation.

The room was comfortable and clean.

The room had a rustic feel but was clean and tidy. It is located off the main road but still in walking distance to the ferry and other resturants and shops.

The reception area is not tidy. It gives a feeling that the rooms will be the same but they were nice.

If you're looking for somewhere very close to town, this is the one for you.

The location. It's right in town so you can basically walk put of the driveway and you're at the stores and restaurants. Nice staff who made checking in easy and it tried one of the chocolate candies at the reception desk. Nummy 😁

The room was small and weirdly configurated. My bathroom window opened out to the back yard of the owners home/flat so I had to keep it closed. Ripped curtains on the windows and door and some mould on the bathroom mirror but other than that it was livable. I don't think I'll stay here again. The Bounty or Dolphin are better value for money and only another 50 to 100 metres away.

The room was dirty, the sheets were dirty and had stains. My work mates room was the same. Why is it so hard to clean a room and put on fresh linen.

I was just disappointed with the standard of the room and what we were charged for it.

The location was very good

The room was quite outdated, the bedroom was very small and so was the bed. I thought the cost of the room was very high for the standard of the room. The water pipes in the room above had broken during the night and we had water dripping through the light fitting in the kitchen area directly onto the bench.

Awesome location, very handy for going to the nice bars a day restaurants Probably the best value for money I've had in paihia. Was pleasantly surprised to have a good few sky TV channels to watch on a big TV. I kind of expected there to be some noise as it is so close to town but it's actually a very quiet location, I slept totally undisturbed even with all the windows open.

Parking spaces are a little tight but that is just a minor inconvenience when you look at how competitively priced the place is, the location and the immaculate cleanliness and tidyness of the rooms. Just bring a small car or a good driver. Room i was in didn't have air conditioning but there was a really good big ceiling fan.

very rundown. our room door wouldn’t lock, my partner accidentally broke off a window latch just closing the window. parking is so tight, bigger vehicles struggled to fit.

Carpet and chairs stained, very rundown but paid premium price! Advertise apartment max 3 people for $180 tariff on website but nowhere did it say we'd have to pay $30 more for a 3rd person, would not recommend or stay here again
