A tranquil stay with a gracious host in an ideal location.

Jean-Philippe provided a wonderful breakfast with many products such as honey and jam that are homemade. He is generous with his time. His B&B has the feel of being in someone's home with friends, with the beautiful and peaceful grounds and the communal table to enjoy breakfast. The location on an island just across the Rhone from the walled old town was perfect for us. A short walk across the bridge to get to the 'action' while staying in a quiet and tranquil setting. Highly recommended

Really nothing to say here. I suppose the automatic door to enter the grounds to could open and close a little faster, but that is beyond nit-picking...

Jean Phy's jardin

The host was warm and welcoming. The garden was fantastic, we loved spending time there. Breakfast was great with homemade jams and honey. The room was well decorated, we appreciated all the little touches. We were pleased with the in room kitchen, which included a gas cooktop. The facility is just across the bridge from the historic area. Parking was no problem.

We stayed 2 days, could have been longer, there is a lot to see and do in the area.

Perect tropical oasis!

We wanted something outside of the City Center, and loved the idea of staying on a island. It was a short walk to town and very scenic. We slept well, it was very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and most of the jams were from their garden. They greeted us with a glass of wine after a long day on the train. I would return. Also the other travelers were very nice! If you are looking for something a little different this is perfect! Also it's a short taxi from the train, so we did not pick up a rental car until we headed out of town.

A memorable bed and breakfast experience !

Very kind and helpful host! He gave us tips on what to do, where to eat and even nice routes to do running or biking. Home made and delicious breakfast Beautiful house and very clean room I would love to go back and stay longer just to enjoy the garden and the city of Avignon!

We left L'ilit bambou very happy. I booked this location based on reviews. Upon arrival I was a little unsure, but the reviews did not steer me wrong. Staff very friendly, breakfast was perfect and local, restaurant recommendations excellent. You may like to have a car to stay here but we found walking to the walled city of Avignon to be an easy one and very scenic.

Bathroom/shower in our room was a bit awkward, but this is a small issue.

The hotel was like a secrets garden . Very relaxing beautiful garden . The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious. Home made bread , yogurt , jams and locally sourced honey.

I guess since i went off season the pool was closed.

I love the environment of this place. It’s so cozy yet walking distance to town (Palais Des Papes) Tatiana, she recommended us a few places to go. It was amazing. The home made breakfast was amazing too, from the yogurt , jam n cake I love it’s free parking too If I’m ever back to Avignon, I will never look for other places to stay as it perfect here

Avignon a beautiful place but won’t be staying there in this Guest House.

We didn’t like anything,

The bed uncomfortable, the bed linen awful fit for the bin, no tea towels, breakfast was not great not very filling no variety, the host was very nice but the hostess was not forthcoming or obliging ignored us when we rang her for directions to get there so not very nice. The location was not suitable for us. We have travelled alot worst place we have stayed in. We booked this place in end of July a week after the money was taken too quickly & hosting skills very bad.

Chilling paradise in the city of popes

Warm and friendly hosts (English speaking) - helpful in any situation no matter if it's about finding the right restaurants or just having a good chat. The garden is a little paridise - you'll find nice spots for relaxing in every corner. The pool is the perfect refreshment after a long day of sightseeing. And not to forget the breakfast - homemade products are on the table (jam / honey / juice or smoothies) and it's served in the garden

A little bamboo village

A little bamboo village just outside the Avignon city walls. Beautiful surroundings, a small swimming pool, specious and clean room with AC. The host is very nice and gives you all the great tips on visiting the city. Homemade breakfast with lots of great sweets.

This is in a fantastic location, an easy walk to everything in Avignon. Yet easy to drive to with free parking on site. The room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious!

Cozy hideaway with relaxed vibes

Cozy hideaway in walking distance to the city center. The property is basically a walled urban garden with bamboo groves, fig trees, several seating areas and a swimming pool. The later one is an major plus given to hot summer temperatures in Avignon. Our room was in a cottage in the back of the property, so very private and secluded. The room comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a small private garden area, basic but really cozy. An highlight was definitively the breakfast that was prepared daily by the owner, who was generally a very nice person to be around. His homemade marmalades and honey from his own beehives were a really great start into the day! Also to mention is the excellent location, just 10 minutes on foot to reach the city center and literally just steps away from the Rhone river banks that offer the best views of the Palais des Papes and the world famous bridge. So if you are looking for a relaxed, unique and very personal hideaway in Avignon, this is the place to book!

A calm and welcoming place 10min walk away from Avignon, with a delicious breakfast!

We had a great time at Jean Philippe’s place - we particularly enjoyed: - the proximity to the city - you just have to walk across the bridge; - the calmness of the place; and - the delicious breakfast - freshly pressed juice, honey harvested by the host, yoghurt, coffee, tea etc.

Soggiorno breve e piacevole

Soggiorno di una notte. Ci è piaciuta il benvenuto dell'host, la sua dolcezza e simpatia e la posizione dell'alloggio rispetto al centro. Abbiamo potuto lasciare la macchina parcheggiata davanti all'alloggio e girare il centro a piedi. Accesso alla struttura tramite codice. L'host ha accolto la nostra richiesta di avere come bevanda calda il latte di soya. A colazione erano presenti molte confetture fatte in casa, formaggio. Nella struttura è presente un'ampia zona all'esterno molto rilassante, compreso il gatto Rio che è disponibile a farsi coccolare :)

Avignon ist es wert erkundet zu werden, Museen, berühmte Brücke, Papstpalast, Stadtmauer, Innenstadt

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und bekömmlich. Mit Liebe selbstgemachter Kuchen, Fruchtsaft; frisch gepresst, Joghurt frisch gemacht, Konfitüre selbstgemacht, sehr guter Käse und Brot. Freundliche Bedienung. Man ist sehr schnell am Rhone-Ufer, und kann somit einen schönen Spaziergang machen.

Das chambre d'hôtes befindet sich auf der anderen Seite der Rhone. Man muss zu Fuss über die Brücke um in die Stadt zu gelangen, oder mit dem Auto. Was nicht nur ein Nachteil ist, so kann man bereits die Aussicht auf die berühmte Brücke und die Silhouette der Stadt geniessen.

Это была комната на первом этаже дома, насколько я понял на втором этаже живут хозяева, а нижнюю часть дома сдают. Расположение удобное, центр города через мост, минут 15 пешком, бесплатная парковка. Хозяин довольно приветливый.

Странные простыни, как будто бы из клеенки, довольно много комаров в комнате, очень низкая скорость интернета (1-2 мб/сек), завтрак очень скудный, по сути несколько кусочков хлеба, джемы, мед и йогурт
